Steve5721: Looks like we have a relation of someone else frequenting the forums now.
You would think all these "relations" would get their tiny minds together and come up with a better post than just keep posting the age difference issue

No matter how many 'tiny's' you get together, the end result would still be smaller than an atom.
Having a similar dilemma right now. He's in his 20s & I'm in my 40s. I think he's a nice guy & yes, handsome. But the age difference is just too much. He calls & texts & I've pretty much ignored it. But last night, he asked why I won't talk to him anymore. I just don't want him to get the wrong idea. I've already told him he's too young... or rather, I'm too old. But he is persistent!!
I went out with my ski instructor many moons ago. He was 17 years older than me and initially it didn't seem to be a problem, but as time went on, we realised that we had very different tastes in things due to our age gap. It didn't last very long.
In response to: I just don't want him to get the wrong idea.
What idea did you want him to get? Giving him your phone # would seem to have sent an obvious message of interest.
For me 18 -23 is way too young not because of chronology(although a major factor) nearly as much as true wisdom, common interests, life experiences, real maturity. The same is true however, of a 33-53yo woman who shows a lack of wisdom, common interests and real maturity. Chronology alone doesn't assure any of the above. I have met many 23yos who SEEMED mature beyond their years but were nonetheless too immature for me. My point is that the most mature and wise 23yos with common interests are very likely not as mature as many wise, mature and vibrant women over 33. Why waste either of our time/energy fooling around to "discover"?
