I'm really pretty impressed by the number of polls that go around with questions that, essentially, must be answered by detailed context which simply isn't provided.
So many things that begin, 'What does it mean...' or 'Is it OK if...' are so highly dependent on the individual situation and feeling, yet they're presented as if somehow axiomatic.
I'm not objecting, really. :) I do understand that relating through the experiences of others can be useful, but ultimately, I think the answers lie right where you'll find them either way- In yourself.
I try, and encourage others, to look inside themselves for the answers long and hard- That is where you'll find the most important feelings, an honest reflection of yourself, and a true representation of your own personal values, instead of the post of tradition and scarecrow of advice.

How's everyone? You guys havin' a good day?
For me, when someone asks a highly complex question it means they are seeking to find a partner with equal intelligence.
They are looking to impress a certain type of person.
As I am not a highly intelligent person, or at least have no pretentions above my station, so am not looking to impress, rather be who I am. I prefer to just move on to something more light hearted

If i ask a question i expect an intelligent answer, i'm not seeking attention, just asking for an answer

Hey, thanks for the input. :D
I think, in hindsight, what I really meant was an incredibly simple question, which really has incredibly complex answers.
You know like, 'When a girl smiles at you and then looks away, what does it mean?'

maybe people are not as confident in their judgement as you. plus i think some are just reaching out to connect with others somehow/anyhow.

yes it would be nice to have "something" long and hard inside myself
and that would provide an answer to at least one problem
I think if a question is too complex then the asker was unsure how to word it best. We all have had a couple of those moments where you're not quit sure what to say or how to say it. Though I guess it all depends on the person. Long enough answer for ya?

If you can ask the question=s, then you have certainly skirted the rim, (Is it confirmation we seek?)
katt1017: Did you mean solar system or universe? Unless there is one hell of a long string of Christmas tree lights up there I think there may be more than one sun in the galaxy let alone the universe.
When is the last time you've seen an incredibly complex question on here? And that in itself is an incredibly complex question, ought to require several days of thought and many hours of searching back through old posts..........

Englishman55 in my opinion a person that can express as good as you do has a highly intellegence, so don't say you are not a highly intellegint person, greetings...
I am the kind of girl that usually ask complex questions, but only because I am curious on knowing people point of view on the things I am asking, only to ask the question and start a conversation or continue one, not to prove any other thing
Great day thankyou, went to my friends land and we all picked olives, Yeah! and it was an over cast day today but very cool. Lots of laughs and revelries. Nice...
I meant in the solar system. Somebody already pointed that out and I made a post to clear that up. The guy tried to convince me there was a second sun behind Jupiter btw lol....

Hi Montse and thankyou for your kind words.
What I have found is that with the art of communication, if one asks a highly intelligent question in an open forum it will illicit responses from an intelligent person, but if you are asking a question directly to one person then that question needs to be tailored to the individuals level of intelligence.
There is no point asking an intelligent question of someone, if you use words or long sentences they will not understand etc. They will not understand the question, let alone be able to give a coherant response.
