RillyNiceGuy: How much wood would a woodchuck upchuck if a woodchuck was sick and upchucked his wood?
I have actually come to a crisis in my euclidean mathematical woodchuck energy/matter transfer model analysis which is this:
Does the Woodchuck/Sausage/Groundhog actually exist or did we just invent him/her to justify our existannce? Perhaps I need to consider quantum mechanics!
Now, if the O/P was confused before....................

from what I can muster from this thread is ...that a woodchuck does not chuck wood but does in fact chuck dirt....and I guess he makes good sausage as well....I never knew he could cook.. And I did in fact see a ground hog/woodchuck yesterday so they do exist...

Let me clear things up for you.
Shadow reading was and is a Grounghog's way. If they being woodchucks or sausage, does this make a weather watch. I think if one is called to veiw such timely condition and top hatted rodent. Then we as a people could and will by nessary action conclude the obvious and the result would be common and of a thickning gravy.

Well, thank heavens for some clarity on this matter....now where's my left handed slide rule gone?

Well, I STILL think its an Obese Squirrel..
Further, it was definately an ILLEGAL squirrel; it had very squinty eyes and a distinctly shifty manner..

Well, your in luck:
The amount of wood that woodchucks would chuck on a given day varies greatly with the individual woodchuck. According to a Wall Street Journal article, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas found that a woodchuck could chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he would chuck an amount equal to 700 pounds. Some say it depends on three factors:
* The woodchuck's desire to chuck said wood.
* The woodchuck's need to chuck the aforementioned wood.
* The woodchuck's ability to chuck the wood when it is a woodchuck.

Check the third and fith posts on page one of this thread and see if you feel quite so smart!

Dagosto: 700 pounds, the equivalent weight to the thirty-five cubic feet of dirt a woodchuck can in fact 'chuck' when digging a burrow. (Source: N.Y. state wildlife expert Richard Thomas, as quoted in The Wall Street Journal.)
in honor of this goofy thread im going to name my next dog ,,stew,, instead of woodchuk...at the appropriat time he might become a pot of stew and a pair of mitts and a set of strings for my base guitar..
