Faithfulness: Back in 2000 I flew to Virginia to meet a man I was talking with online. He sent me the roundtrip airline tickets for Christmas. Had a lovely visit and moved to Virgijia 4 months later (and lived there for a year).

In 2003 I went to Canada for two weeks and I met two more of my online frineds. I had a wonderful time.

I have also had on line friend come see me all the way from Australia.

What I am saying is this.. I would definitely go to another country to meet someone. What a wonderful reason to get to travel and to make memories. Had it not been for my online friends I never would have had the chance or the thought to travel where I did.

And I agree.

I was being silly in my post, Faithful.

My friend relocated from Asia to Scandinavia and proven it's not lunatic. Of coz there is price to pay and obstacles to overcome but it's possible.

To me I tend to be drawn to foreigner bec of the mutual attraction out of curiosity. Bec we are different, brought up in different ways look different experienced with different cultures, often we tend to be more respectful and accomodating to each other.

that will be okay, as sometimes you hv a hot temper, then he cant understand your language, or he is upset with you, then speak his language very quickly, then u dont understand, that will relieve the angers of two persons. But really need the respect & trust from eachother, if not life look like the hell.wave

maxijuni0r: I'm curious how many people will go for a foreign relation ....

Cupcake, Kaiserslautern is in Rheinland-Pfalz, not Baden-Würtemberg, tsk tsk.

Dating a foreigner isn't a big problem, so long as you're say in the US or EU, but start dating someone in a country where you're only allowed to go in 3 months in, 3 months out intervals and vice versa. Immigration is also not easy when you're over 45 or 50, depending on the country. Yeah, love can conquer all, but some obstacles are just a bit harder to overcome than others if you're not exactly loaded. Something to think about before becoming attached.

if they meet on CS,think they like each other very much. they phone each other every day, nothing stopping them visiting each other's country, to see further how getting on,and if getting on OK,without alterior mitive, lets say immigration, then why not,to deside in which country they want to live???.-They are so many mixed relationship, does it means that none of them working.

OnlyForTheUK: I think the country they are from should not matter, if there is something there, you will find away. If this is about seeing someone, who lives in another country, just look at Trulee and Lovingheart, he has gone all the way to Spain to see her and be with her. It just probably takes a bit more effort. Don't think anyone should say never. Surely it is better to make more effort and be with the right person where ever they are from, not just because they live in your neighbourhood and it makes it easy??

For you Americans it is slightly different as America is a large country covering thousands of miles. For instance you could be in NY and have a connection with someone from LA who you wish to see. You are in the same country yet you are further away from each other than someone in London is to say someone in Rome. Also with cheap air fares it is probably easier for the person in London to see the person in Italy. Oh and it is not that much further from London to NY than it is from NY to LA

I guess everyone is different and it really depends on your budget whether or not it is feasible to do?? As I would say you would need to see them several times before making any decision or commitment.

Yes, I think it does seem to be easier for people in the UK and Europe to visit each other. It's a little more complicated (and expensive) if you're in South Africa or Australia, I think.... But as people have said, where there's a will, there's a way.

It's just that for those of us who are parents, it definitely complicates matters. It simply isn't that simple to up and start anew in a different continent (especially when you're older), and it works both ways. So, isn't it better to just stick to a friendship in this situation, where in the long run, you are unlikely to meet each other?? dunno

Dear MF in my previous post i said,am sorry, did not know, you and Dodge were joking.- I've got nothing against you, and i don't dislike you,or anybody else in the forums, though you,me,and everybody else, we've got the right to agree and disagree, misunderstading or not.- I think did not misunderstood your English then,i remember very well the two words you had posted then, and while M....i, said am sorry twice, you did not, thats was exactly my objection.- the thread then was for everyone of us to be happy for those two people, having our good wishes, any other post outside of this, was to my opinion inappropriate. handshake And having posted this,i still regard as friend.-

why would i apologize to someone who understood me correctly-the poster of the thread understood! and was not offended!!???

the whole thing was none of your business!!

you use thinking you are right about that to make an excuse to constantly bother me

try to ignore my posts and we will both be happier

you apologize but it is empty or you wouldnt continue always to assume and correct me in forumsdoh

you have never acted friendly toward me and i am okay with that.

but you were wrong that day and still today.sigh
