BTW, let's not forget Stairway to Heaven. It's actually a great song, but got so overplayed on FM radio in the 70s (plus it was everybody's Senior Prom theme for a solid decade)that I can't stand to hear it now
The worst song ever recorded was "Send In The Clowns". Forget who sang it, thats how much I hated it. Would go into a rage everytime it came on the radio. Made absolutely no sense at all. 
Another one was "McArthur Park". Who gives a damn if someone left the cake out in the rain. Let them eat soggy cake then.

They treated "Light My Fire" by The Doors the same way.

yup, true enough, but not being a Doors fan I don't remmeber that quite as much. I was srsly a pretty big Zep head, but even people who weren't really into them couldn't escape...it was impossible to escape from those songs

hi there jvaski...i expected to hate this just a few second in but found it very amusing...i guess we all have our musical "pet hates", but humour in music is not one of mine...political correctness and subject matter aside, i would take this over most of the populist rubbish that finds air time...

funny post, though I know nothing in your list...
but music is really amazing thing. I really listened some bad songs, I remember a theme song of a TV opera of China. It was very popular in 1993. I was in severe reaction stage of pregnancythen, especially when I listened to that song....
oh my God, as if it wanted to kill me almost.... don't know why that song had that function....lol...even now still I feel uncomfortable when hear that song....an old female engineer defined me as music allergic of pregnance stage....lol never heard that kind of thing....lolNormally I don't like those popular songs that much.....
