For a lawyer, it could possibly, depending on how people handle it, on how the shark looks and if it's considered a gang symbol in any part of where you are or where you're headed. I'm not really sure what a lawyor is so I can't give you a good answer. In my 18 years, I've never heard of a lawyor but then again, that's only 18 years spent searching.

If you are planning to wear a suit collar and tie, it shouldn't make any difference what tattoo you get as it won't be seen by clients.
If it is still visible over your shirt collar, I guess it depends on what kind of law you are going to practice. If it's criminal law you will be out-tattoed I'm sure. Generally speaking, most law firms are fairly conservative, but if you're a good lawyer, they probably wouldn't care.
