There is new reports out on the US Body Armor as well. One a GA investigation report that is saying that the body armored procured by the military did not have ballistic requirements. This is the "interceptor body armor."

Earlier this blogger posted the need for new body armor designs and materials to be a serious issue for the government to consider in the future.

Today....Russia has a floating body armor, the English have a 3 in 1 body armor, and many other types of body armor have come to the market.

The site I take you to has the DoD GA report on American body armor. And the principle article was written by the man that began the body armor controversy in 2005-6.

Even he says that it was a myth that "Momma had to buy me body armor" that flew from liberal computers and media reports back in
the debate on body armor. The military spent $426m for body armor over the last few years. The problem was the quality.

The kevlar helmet is the best in the world. I have heard stories of rounds taken in the helmet that have gone into the helmet are deflected inside the helmet to exit with out striking the soldier. To say the least, the soldier was thanking his kevlar pot and showing his buddiee a new war trophie. Sadly you cannot make coffee in the kevlar helmet, but there are limits to everything.

But they need body armor that will do that and more with use of IEDs on today's battlefield.

After coming closer to the mid road positions of the REP and Tea Party, President Obama approvals took a bounce. Now at 53% they are the highest since the health care debate of last year.

That said....so did the REP Congress approval bounce. The country recognizes what the REP did this last two year to stem DEM spending and legislation effort that would impose new laws on all of us.

They only one in this approval ranking the seemed to lose were the liberal left DEMs that continue to find their numbers sinking. Maybe the President Obama can toss them a life line? For the 2012 if he has 'shirt tails', he will be able to keep them in office if elected.

But I have a feeling that President Obama approvals by then will not be at 53%. The only way he will keep them there, is to continue to the move to the center lane. Away from his base.

There is new book out on the Obama administration.

Written by a 'said insider'....that is either to cowardly or to market savvy....to place his/her name on it.

Published by Simon and Schluster the book "O" is novel about President Obama. But was written incognito 'white house insider'. Kind of like a buddy the helps fix a your flat tire that he early had holed. The kind of buddy you don't need.

Are we just suppose to take Simon and Schluster word that this was a 'insider' of Obamas that now has turn to give us the noveled scoop on the inner working of the White House?

VP Biden is in Afghanistan. There to give the his promoted UAV campaign a push and to meet with the Karsai government. It was VP Biden that promoted the use of more UAV in Afgahanista,n we have been told.

And the UAV predator strikes have increased in Afghanistan dramatically. But the funny thing is....this is so much a like a Cheney thing.

Cheney was scoured by the liberals and DEM for taking a hard line in Iraq and Afghanistan. But Biden has gotten off almost scot free to increasing the Predator programs in Pakistan. Well with most, VP Biden does not make many appearances in Pakistan if you note.

Speaking of UAVs....USAF is coming out with a new one. This recon UAV has nine cameras in it. It can orbit a city and image the entire city as it does. Ladies the days of laying out in your back yard tanning is over with. You will soon be a hit on the military dot com channel.....

Hezbolloh is pulling out the Lebanese Gov't. Guess they want their own nation state like the west bank and Palestine do.
No, this is because of the coming agreement between Netanyhu and Abbas to make a Palestine Nation state on the west Bank.

Removed from the Lebanese gov't, it means that Hezolloh is free to be more agressive with Isreal. Seeing that the Palestine issue was coming to a end and with GAZA tunnel access increasingly harder....Syria and Iran needed a new pot stirrer near Israel.

So Hezbolloh gets the nod. The question is....will the Lebanese gov't accept this break away rebellion? Remember the Lebanese gov't suppressed the breakaway faction of alQeada in Tripoli several years ago. This is a much bigger break away. Sadly, one only can see coming violence to this decision.

Haiti.

Hiati is now one year after the earth quake. Billions in aid dollars have not made their way to the stricken Island nation.
Cholera has broken out and a pandemic to both the Domincan Republic and to the US comes from it.

Yet the Obama administration does little.

Little in providing the promised 1b in US aid. Little in investigating the Hiati aid relief organizations that placed TV
donation gathering programming with musical and cinema stars.
But failed to get the funds to the strieken country. Little in
providing other US gov't assistance.

IL that long time DEM governed state and home state of President Obama...just voted to increase their state income tax by 66%.

This in light of the pending deficit crunch in Springfield.

Daily....the new White House Chief of Staff ..and ..Emanuel the former White House Chief of staff both come from IL politics. The Chief of Staff plays a major role in budgetting and taxing.

He assembles the reports for the President to review....he has the Presient's ear so to speak when it come to numbers.

We might not have a fire breather in Chief of Staff position anymore.....but we do have a big spending DEM in the staff position that sees billions as just zeros and not the sweat of
the American tax payer.

Though Daily is a man that can work with REP....he is still a former banker on the receiving end of the bailouts. And was not saying to them.

Had President Obama really wanted to mid road his administration, he had the prefect chance to do so with the Chief of Staff choice. He could have contacted Ron Paul for a recommendation of a leading Tea Party finance man. That would have made him as center-line down the road as possible. But he did not.

So the pull on the Obama administration still continue. To hold back or to spend? To go austerity and shut things down. Or spend and stimulate.

What ever the choice...it is going to made by the big spending process of the DEMs.

Just put Illinois in the list with California and New York.
