devon80: Yes I hit the man lottery. You might remember him SWM31! I met him in the forums! He took his profile down after we first met, said hes done looking!
My hunni and are about 8000 miles apart and it's been rough. But the end is in sight and we have both worked really hard to make it. He will be home on June 10th and (if we wait) we'll be getting married on July 4th. I think the biggest thing is trust. I trust him and he does me. I made it plain that I had no interest in what he did over there before me and I make no apologies about what I did before him. If you really want it to work, it will, but don't take anything for granted. We it a point of some form of communication every day., sometimes it's nothing but a text, but we make sure we do. Good luck

rockandrollrn: I still believe in Chat Global..Date Local... Any thoughts about this? I know it might be a boring topic but needed your opinion and thoughts about this...
Yes and no! There is no one-size-fits-all answer here.

Absolutely. If my partner even crosses the street I find that I have lost a bit of love for him and a whole lot of respect. Hehehe
Distance can be a deal breaker for sure, I guess it all depends on the people involved. Personally, I'd rather find someone closer to where I live - but if the love bug bite I'd go the distance.

Distance is relative; Time plays a very important factor and can derail the most committed If communication stops suddenly and either party cannot reach the other, all sorts of notions begin to play on our minds especially 'worst case scenarios' or the proverbial 'cheating or got bored and found someone else. None of those need to have come into play but when the distance is made far greater by the passing of time, many move on without ever really knowing why the sudden cut-off be it phone calls or letters...it's like they died but you can't be sure...
