Obviously, since it is approaching 4 in the morning, I have chosen item #6 above. I am thankful to report that in doing so I have lulled myself into a hypnotic state and am ready to sleep for the remaining 2 hours before the alarm clock sounds.

hi Ralph , its not funny , even if i do 36 hrs at sea still only sleep the usual 4 or 5 hrs , maybe im just one of those people that dont need much sleep been like it for years now

I think as we age we don't need as much sleep as when we are younger. Perhaps as most are not as active anymore but for the one one's that are very active, you had better ask them ....

got to know about your life style first..one cannot give advise without knowing about the circumstances..

I recently had this problem...My (soon to be ex) husband's response was..." I know what you need...you need to go out and mow the lawn." That explains why we are now separated!!!!!
A watched a program where a sleep specialist said if you don't fall asleep within 15 minutes of going to bed you should get up.
When I can't sleep I get up and continuing with a book I've already started. If I'm under stress and can't concentrate on the book I'll watch tv which always makes me drowsy. But I have to be quick about it cause if I fall asleep in front of the tv when I go to bed I won't be able to sleep again....
