No, we have had and still have trolls with photos on their profiles too. And your second point is complete BS and we all know it.

Yep tis true! We English teachers can spot this a mile off, but I agree it is sometimes difficult to determine whether the writer is a troll. I say this because many are simply not good writers of English, or are non native. In my opinion the real trolls are more often native English speakers, and usually reveal themselves as such by either extremely crude or argumentative posts.
