I've never really had these qualities, so not too worried about losing something I don't have.

Yes I don't wanna keep getting old, but I am and can't stop the ageing factor so next best thing is..... I do my best to take care of my health and overall appearance, most important that I feel good about myself & the people around me too and I know if you have a positive outlook it will make you shine. 
I do have days when I look in the mirror and go OMG!! yuk! then I use a bit of reverse psychology "phew" I'm alright Jack!

What you are describing is not about sensuality, it's about the norms that society has brainwashed into every corner of your mind to get your eyes judging on first glance. The fashionability of body shapes changes with the tides ...

In that period of time this body shape was considered attractive and desirable as it indicated wealth. You had to have money in order to eat well. So were men even more shallow back then ? Impossible, surely ......
