Agree. I did not refer to scientific disciplines, but to theories of origin in general.

Wrong. The Big Bang occurred when all matter, formerly infinitely compressed, exploded. Thus, all matter existed prior to the Big Bang.

Faithfulness: Yes I believe the Bible is the Word of God. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Correct. Millions, trillions, eternity? Some say eternity doesn't exist, how could that be, I mean we are in it. On the other hand, since there is no beginning or end to eternity, how can it exist?
I think that what motivates closed minds is fear. That is a serious matter not to be ridiculed.

The Big Bang Theory has some significant problems. First of all, the Big Bang Theory does not address the question: "Where did everything come from?" Can nothing explode? This contradicts to the 1st Law of Thermodynamics (the Law of Conservation of Matter). Where did Space, Time, Matter, and Energy come from? Next, how did this explosion / "expansion" cause order while every explosion ever obsAlso, the Big Bang Theory contradicts observed phenomena. For example, the Big Bang Theory is unable to explain uneven distribution of matter throughout the universe resulting in galactic "voids" and "clumps". If the Big Bang was true, all matter would be (roughly) evenly distributed.

erved and documented in history caused only disorder and chaos? Consequently, the Big Bang seemingly violates the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (the Law of Increased Entropy). What organized the universe after the singularity?

Besides conflicting with the 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics, the Big Bang Theory contradicts the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum. For example, how does the Big Bang Theory explain "Retrograde Motion" (the backward spin of some planets and the backward orbits of some moons) without violating the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum?

Steinhardt's theory asserts that the Big Bang was not the beginning of history but rather one of many events like it. His belief is that the bang was actually a collision of two universes each existing in separate dimensions -- something that happens every trillion years, he theorizes. Essentially, those in opposition to the theory are threatened because, if it proves correct, "...time has always existed and so has the universe. What’s more they will always exist, and so there is no need for inflation or for a creation event – or perhaps even a creator"

Is he right though?

The bible is a work of fiction. Some of it is base on peoples own spiritual experiences with God and the rest of it is historical facts. The wisdome and knowledge of the universal God is so vast that no book can hold that wisdome. We cannot learn that wisdome and knowledge over several generation. It is an on going process which is given to us little by little. what is in the bible is some of that knowledge not all of it. It has never been updated which makes it misleading and false doctrin. If you want to know God go within and be still. Ask what you want to know and listen, not with your mind but with your feelings. Words are the weakest form of communication from God. Feelings is the language of the soul and it is the highest form of communication that comes from God. The bible is a good way to start to find your own truth. Trust in your self and in God and he will show you the rest of the way. Blessing to you all.

Our immediate universe did probably experience a big bang.
The creation never began and has always been here and continues. So it appears. That mystery, is God to me, not a man, or son.
No such thing as a theory of everything, eternal damnation, heaven and hell after life, savior, virgin birth, resurrection, rapture, judgement day at the end of history,,,,,
Most likely after life will be like it was before life.
I like to think that since I am here (a total mystery to me) that I could be here again and again and maybe I was here forever.
I like to think that heaven is right here, it's just that some insist in making hell out of it.

54xmax: Well this is from your bible too - - - How do you explain this word of GOD? - - - just curious - - -

I am not going to explain it for you because you have your rosy glasses of modern day civilisations on, thereby you seek to understand ancient events. You need to transport yourself back in time to ancient past when peoples were so wicked that they threw their babies into furnaces to please their gods and if the baby didn't cry the god was please with you, and so because women didn't want to be ashamed they drowned their babies before wrapping them up to take them to the furnace. This is just one of the things these nations practiced and their deeds were so incredibly horrific that it was not possible to reform them - let alone there were no reform programmes in those days. The quest was the survival of the Jewish people in those days and they could not afford the pollution of these peoples among them... so they ha no choice.

We may also wish to discuss the embargo against Iraq during the last decade that affected all the people and led to the deaths of 2 million children under the age of 6. What do you think about that? No difference to me, really.

I read that in the Bible and adhere to it.. Find your own meaning in the words that are written between the pages and if you find none, you are not meant to.

You are contradicting yourself. If it is a work of fiction it should not contain facts.

How is it the spiritual experience of individuals when at times the whole of the Jewish people shared in that experience?

but it could hold a different meaning for each individual who wrote it.. not everything is always as it seems .. and why put that statement in if it was meant to say "dechiper what they meant " surely that is what would have been written

Maybe if God actually wrote the book. If he had then he would go on Larry King and Oprah and then we could know beyond a doubt the book is his word.

The Bible is a reincarnation by Constantinople, who forced(at threat of death) a small groups of Monks to recreate the fables and stories of that time, the way he wanted it, with Jesus as its holy leader.

As Christianity was becoming a fringe religion at the time, exponetially outnumbered by Hindu, Buddhist, Koran, and other Eastern religions of the time.

It is a small snapshot of that time, as there were many more prophets, soothsayers etc. at that time, and some very intresting
information available.

The Bible has good intentions, concepts and ideas within it, now if only all of us Christians used its positiveness instead of negativeness life would be so much more enjoyable.

THE BEATLES
"The Word"
(Lennon/McCartney)

Say the word and you'll be free
Say the word and be like me
Say the word I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, it's sunshine
It's the word, love

In the beginning I misunderstood
But now I've got it, the word is good

Spread the word and you'll be free
Spread the word and be like me
Spread the work I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, it's sunshine
It's the word, love

Everywhere I go I hear it said
In the good and bad books that I have read

Say the word and you'll be free
Say the word and be like me
Say the word I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, it's sunshine
It's the word, love

Now that I know what I feel must be right
I'm here to show everybody the light

Give the word a chance to say
That the word is just the way
It's the word I'm thinking of
And the only word is love
It's so fine, it's sunshine
It's the word, love

Say the word, love
Say the word, love
Say the word, love
Say the word, love
