I guess the best thing is to speak in general, like you can say you are on this site just to have good friends nothing more, you don't have to tell her that I want "you" as a friend and I don't want anything more with "you" as she may interpret it that you have feelings for someone else ..

I guess you should be honest with her and tell her that you just want a friendship and you are not interested in having more than this, even if that might hurt a bit but it would at least stop her from developing any romantic feelings and I don't think you want to wait till you get there

I totally agree with you, I don't like it when I come across a profile of someone wearing sunglasses, I remember two years ago I met someone on dating site and his photos their was with sunglasses I told myself "well, he looks cute, why not to meet him" and when I met him I was in a complete shock, he looked very different without the sunglasses

@ lonly, it is not like that, as for me I don't like taking photos not to mention having one in my profile! I am a shy person, but since I want to have some good friends and start dating again I thought I should do so, it is nice to know how the person you are talking to looks like .. no body will judge the way you look, be brave and upload your photo and you will feel good afterwards
