Ravensgold --i am a huge fan of Clint Eastwood - early middle and latest stuff -although he has directed more in recent years than acted --and he is a great composer too ! not alot of people know that ! He wrote the theme song for" Bridges " --ahh i could go on all night i just adore him !

I had a lovely christmas too --just relaxing here for a while infront of a big open fire you have no need of a big fire in your living room at this time of year i'm sure it's your summer there ??

my goodness you have been busy these last few days !
As regards feeling a little sadness at this time of year ,
I think it is good , just to take a little time to think of those people eho have touched our lives , but who are no longer with us --these people have helped to shape us , and make us who we are today --if you think of it not in sad terms , but in a way thanking and acknowleging them for helping us through our journey in this life
And also , in relation to what you were saying at the beginning of your post , where human kindness just shines through -and we see people sacrificing things for others --and not just at this special time of year .
I too , want to wish you a very haappy christmas Teddy , and i hope 2013 brings you much joy and contentment
