sadly , my mother is very ill and she is in hospital at the moment -
yes indeed , life is very busy at the moment ...i do still write poetry occasionally , but i no longer post on Poetry Corner .
I am logging off the site and leaving again P in a few minutes - as i mentioned earlier , i only logged on tonight as Dela and i really wanted to pay our respects to Simmo on your blog and also on Teddy's . Dela and i just heard the sad news tonight when Z emailed me . To all our friends who remember Dela and i , please all take good care of each other on the blogs - be kind and supportive of one another and we send all of you our best wishes for the future .
Hello P -it has been a long time since i last logged on to c/s , but i just wanted to log on tonight to express Delatude's and my own deep sadness on the sudden passing of our friend Simmo You have written a beautiful tribute to him , and Delatude and i wanted to pay our respects to Simmo ,and his loving family on both yours and Teddy's blog . Simmo was a genuinely good person - a family man at heart most of all -and a wonderful friend to so many . He will be very sadly missed by all of us who knew him so well . Rest in peace dear Simmo Sending you our best wishes P - Take care
On behalf of myself , and Delatude , we want to say how utterly shocked and deeply saddened we are to hear the news tonight of Simmo's passing .Thank you Z for letting us know the sad news - most kind of you to email me this evening and i appreciate it greatly . Both Delatude and i were part of the "old crowd " here on c/s ...both of us here for a couple of years , in which the most wonderful bonds of friendships were formed ...The fun , and banter Harold ,Teddy , Non , Zman , Delatude and i used to have here on the blogs was so wonderful - a complete joy to all of us .We enjoyed much laughter , and also supported each other in times when life sometimes threw each of us a curve ball . I can hardly imagine the grief and pain that Simmo's family are experiencing right at this moment ...especially his 2 beautiful grand daughters of whom he spoke so fondly and so often . Simmo was an absolute gentleman - with his family the core of his life . To all of his friends on the blogs , we will miss him so very much .And especially to you Z , who have lost such a close friend . Delatude and i wish to pay our deepest respects to Simmo and all his family - we thank you Simmo , for bringing so many smiles to the blogs and for being the man that you were .You will never be forgotten by those of us who's life you touched , where you brought awards , fun , respect much joy and friendship . Rest in peace dear Simmo from your friends Serenity4two , and Delatude
These blogs and Poetry Corner are all the richer since you joined ..
You are a true lady ...and your goodness shines out for all to see
And I agree , for those of us who are real and genuine , the deep and true friendships that can be made here between people from all over the world is really wonderful .
A lovely blog as always from you S
My warmest regards to you , the man you adore , and your family
I will be hoping your Dad continues to be fine Cat ,but I can certainly understand your concern about him loosing some weight I am sure you and your family are keeping a watchful eye over him My own Dad has lost over a stone in the past 2 weeks alone , ontop of the weight he had already lost post surgery He was thin before any of this happened - so he had no weight to loose .
Anyway onto happier topic of you and your beloved ...I am guessing your erratic sleep pattern due to the "time difference " is a small price to pay ,,,she is very worth it ! Avery special lady indeed
As regards your laziness ...you're grand ... you worked for long enough ...laziness is allowed
I had mine romantically broken once when I was 20 years old ...then again 7 years ago ..
And of course 4 months ago ..my beloved daddy being diagnosed with stage 3 cancer really broke my heart in a different way :-(( I don't think I will ever be the same person again after all that has happened in these past 4 months .
In the last 7 years I very much doubt I have broken anyone's heart ...probably I tried and "broke " their patience , but not" broke " their heart
goodness , for 20 euro a jar ,,it would want to cure a lot of ailments ! we're robbed here in Ireland as you know ! For 20 euros ...Don't let a drop of it go to waste ! Hope you feel better soon

Hello S.b and thankyou I too wish you a Happy St Patrick's Day !
As regards your question re "luck " ...I'm not sure I do however believe in fate . The hand of fate can be cruel but can also be very kind .. If 2 people are meant to meet ..they will imo Have a great St Patrick's weekend
Thankyou dearest Phyllis Having been born and reared and lived all my life in Ireland -I am already so proud of our country --this is a wonderful dedication to us on this special weekend celebrating St Patrick I left a comment for you also on Poet's Corner I also re-posted my poem "Forever Green " in celebration of the weekend that it is :-)) Thankyou again Phyllis - this is very thoughtful of you
Hi Red , I am so glad all is well with you I don't think there was ever any confusion between us ,especially for all who know us us for a long time ---you were the American "Serenity" and I am the Irish one Difference is , you are an amazing singer ,,,I am not

See now that's typical thing a man would say Cat Yes indeed that is a brilliant film for sure ,,,Clint is excellent as always and Donald Sutherland is brilliant in that movie But they're blowing bridges up !!!... Compare that to Clint (Robert Kincaid ) taking photos of the Bridges of Madison County for National Geographic and falling inlove while he's in Iowa Now that is my kinda movie - sheer bliss !
Hi S I adore "Love Actually " too ! great choice ! Anything with Clint Eastwood - especially "Bridges of Madison County " Best Comedy --"Midnight Run " -absolutely hilarious ! I also love anything Disney ...one must never loose touch with one's inner child I say Hope all is going well for you S
Teddy , I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation with Jenny - I don't even need to hope ,,it is a certainty PLease give her my warm regards - and have a great trip my friend
I wonder how it would have tasted with "Sheep Dip " added instead of whiskey ? The hangover may have lasted more than a few days I'd say Simmo - Strong stuff that ! not that I would know of course
I was sitting beside my father in a hospital consultation room 6 weeks ago , when he was told the " most dreaded word " Everyone deals with this situation differently - every family will deal with it differently .Everyone will have a different way of coping . But you were very supportive Scouse to that lady ..and i am sure she appreciated it very much . Sometimes words aren't neccessary ..a hug or gentle hand on someone's shoulder will bring great comfort .
