@ barbara861 - It's no point being dishonest about yourself on a dating site because sooner than latter you will get caught out, especially if you find a partner, fall in love and want to meet in person. I grant you that there are people out there who step over the line but they are only 'players' and know that they will never meet with anyone.....

@ Vio - Visit your local SPCA or animal welfare centre, offer to walk their dogs for free but leave a stack of flyers/cards there and ask them to help promote your business in return, they can give one of your flyers/cards to everyone who buys a dog from them or reclaims their strayed critter......

You could also contact local 'dog wash' businesses and ask them to promote and drop off one of your flyers/cards to each of their clients and you could offer to do the same for them, Girl....

@ Kattte - The biggest difference between newspaper and on-line profiles is the fact that newspapers charge by the word so one needs to get attention in the first line to stand out from others with as few words as posible, therefore they started to become 'witty and wild'.....

@ KN - From what I have read she is not very well versed in the english language therefore her posts are not well defined or understood by the use of proper punctuation or 'flowery' explainations..... she wrote:

She just asked that Women do not post on her blog and she said 'please' then she mentions that some stupid women have made it hard for her in the past...... she did not call all women who post on her blog 'stupid' so I don't see that OOB had any reason to blow her cool over it....... ....

@ LouLou - ALL bibles were origonally written by man, regardless of faith, the English version was butchered far beyond it's origonal, for example the King James version, he had it re-written to include that the 'King' (himself) has the divine right to rule over everyone.

I would be very supprised if the koran hasn't been changed as well to suit those extreamists who wish to use it for power.

On the subject of 'right to rule', most British people don't even know that for 300 years their beloved royal family have been of Austrian decent their name was changed to Windsor to hide this fact.....

@ LouLou - The church has always influenced the state but when I heard our news reporter mention last year that the polititions in our country were putting a question to the people "Should the state separate itself from the church?", I spent 10 minutes rollong on the floor laughing..... as IF that's ever going to happen.......

The church is always the power behind the state regardless what country you live in, just some are more obvious about it than others.

What a lot of people aren't aware of is that the vatican controlls the anglican, protestant as well as the Catholic church including all the so-called break-a-ways such as the lutheran church.

Speaking of the vatican, it's only as recent as last year that the pope changed the age of consent from 12 to 18 in the vatican city.

You are correct, the invention of the printing press changed everything, just like the invention of the web has done these days......

@ LouLou - Almost correct but Elizabeth 1, after the Act of Supremacy in 1558 to re-establish the church of England's independence from Rome, she had Parliment pass an Act of Uniformity which in part made the public's attendance at church services compulsory as well as the use of the Book of Common Prayer, with penalties for not conforming to church attendance for religious indoctrination.

What I would have liked to say more clearly is that Non religious people have a more realistic view on the world because they are not held back or limited by any religious dogma....

@ SR - The 'right to rule' was instigated by the church and still is today so if wars were fought for power and property then you can bet there is a religious core behind it. Today we still see hundreds of innocent people killed in the name of allah and the holy war..... nothing changes....
