@ MiMi~ - ... Yep, it might take a while before I up-load some shots here as with my last DSLR camera it was mostly used for work, not much creativity used so the new camera will test me......
Just be patient, pics will appear in due course....
@ EXRED - ... Yes the choices sure are overwhelming these days.... the trick to buying computers is to buy one that has the maximum amount of RAM that you can afford ..... and buy one that can be serviced in your area, not sent half way across country or overseas.....
I am really looking forward to my new camera with baited breath.....
@ - ..... Cricket?........ oh yeah the insect, I know that insect.
The other day I went for a walk in the park, there was a small stream along the edge of the park so I followed it for a while and soon I found a cricket ball,...... I little further along I found another cricket ball,..... As I walked a few meters further I found a dead cricket....
No much good talking to me about ball sports, I don't follow any teams....
@ Onthecreast~ - ... Yep there are some cell-phones with reasonably good cameras but the majority of cell-phones that I've owned haven't been too great in low light conditions like sun-rise and set....
@ Miclee - ... It won't be long and you won't even be able to buy film for it any more.
One of my favorite (sports) when buying fuel is to ask the newer cashier after walking in to pay for my fuel if they could grab a fresh roll of film for my camera and hand them a little digital camera used for snaps........ they sometimes spend ages looking through the racks of print film looking for something they think would fit not realizing I've handed them a digital camera..... meanwhile up to 10 or 15 people standing in line behind me waiting to pay for fuel..... and the driveway is packed with cars waiting their turn at the pumps .....
@ Crazy~ - ... Thank you but you need to keep in mind those photos were taken about 30-40 years ago on print with a fairly basic SLR camera and I only recently scanned them into my laptop.... hopefully with my new DIGITAL camera I will have better pics to share, and quite a few that will never see the light of day until I master the new camera.... the user manual is like over 400 (A4) pages long in just one language.....
@ Geronimolion - ... Yes I have considered a D7200 at first but there were so many features and option available in the D500 that I just couldn't refuse. The didn't want to repeat the mistakes that I've made in the past by just looking into what I want 'now' instead of looking towards the future, I out-grew my last cameras too fast. So now I am thinking about longevity as this could well be the last camera that I will ever buy, and it does come with a big bundle of the D5 functionality that I may not use now but I will never get bored with adding feathers to my cap later.
When I was working full time I never quite got to enjoy photography as much as I'd have liked due to work, sleep and other commitments but now I have a lot extra time to be able to take my time and spend more time on my composition etc
I agree its all about the person behind the camera but a fist full of technology doesn't go astray.....
@ Mic lee - .... Plastic coffin?,..... what a joke. Hear in Aus the same boxes were used for the NBN, National Broadband Network. They are 'in ground' junction boxes for optic fibre cables...... lol
@ Miclee - ... If I was you I would keep a sharp lookout for black helicopters and black SUV's...... they could be coming for you anytime soon. That information was not meant for public eyes......
Hint: there are no spare seats on either of those transports......
@ Vierk~ - The only thing the Greeks ever achieved was to plagiarize everything from the Egyptians, maths, geometry, physics, astronomy .... the list is endless. The Alexandria Library was also a great source of information for them, then claiming it all as their own work.....
The confusion was that at the time of creating my blog the tabs were grayed out but it seems that you have to save/publish it first and them go back into it in the edit mode for the gray tabs to become active......
@ Onthecrest~ - ... Nice unit but these days I'd rather be on top of the water unless I fall overboard ..... to many biters and stingers below...... ... especially here in Australia, everything wants to kill you...
@ 2intrigued - ... Yes we once could up-load pics from out computers and keep them in a library file on here to use whenever we wanted in blogs and/or PM...... anyhow Ill keep the photo sharing idea in mind, go to get the camera first.....
RE: Limitations
Will someone please kiss this princess and turn her into a from so that she can catch her lunch.............
@ Tulefell - ... a lot of nutrients going to waste me thinks..... just kidding...... enjoy your paddle......
.....
