Ireland's Member of the European Parliament, Clare Daly Speaks... Very interesting Speach.

@ robplum... wave

It's much the same in most places. You have to vote so that you believe you are making a difference. If the votes don't tally their way, they just change the electoral boundaries... conversing

@ gypman wave
In my opinion, a throrough reformation and basic reset towards Democracy 2.0 is long overdue. At latest since the so called financial crisis of 2007/8. But in favour of the people, not the ruling elites.
Just my modest opinion.

I agree with you whole-heartedly... conversing

@ Itchy, Girl... wave

I don't claim to know anything about Ireland's politics; therefore, I have no idea who MM and Leo are. I generally don't click onto speeches on Youtube made by politicians either, but Clare's grabbed my attention with the title, so I decided to take a peek and was very glad that I did. If all politicians were more like her, the world would be a much better place.

Maybe we could clone her.... just sayin'..... conversing

Cheers to you, Girl.... cheers ... and yes I DID say GIRL... cool hug

RE: From one soul to another.

Hi Itchy Girl, wave

Quite possibly so, you could be right about that, Girl... conversing

On a slightly different note: I believe that zombies don't have a soul, therefore it's safe to assume that killing one would not result in a murder charge... rolling on the floor laughing

@ Itchy Girl,

Thank you... conversing

The source of my belief is simply what I have understood over the years of listening to others discussing the subject. Also, I don't know if this is still current law but it was illegal to abort a fetus after the first trimester in this country. Maybe the government also had the same information about the fetus/baby now having a soul and it would result in murder... dunno

hug

RE: From one soul to another.

@ Itchy Girl - I believe that the soul, spirit or whatever you choose to call it, enters the fetus somewhere around the start of the second trimester and not when the baby is born... conversing

RE: Breakthrough in nuclear fusion

@ LukeOn wave

Sad to hear that you are having blackouts but until fusion comes online, they will become the norm for a while.

As for where I live, I left Austria with my parents when I was about three and a half years old. laugh always been in Australia since then.

RE: Breakthrough in nuclear fusion

Solar and wind farms are mostly run by private power companies, and they still have a place during fusion power until they become obsolete through old age. Solar and wind will then revert back to where they once were... on sailing yachts and remote/off-grid places.

conversing

RE: Breakthrough in nuclear fusion

@ Grand ~ wave

First off you may want to change fission to fusion in your first line, Mate.. laugh

Secondly, wind, sun and wave power are only seen as 'band aid' implementations until fusion comes on-line by most governments.

I first got involved back in the early 1990's when the government was selling off its coal-fired power stations.

After doing much research I found out that it was happening across the globe, this only made me more suspicious. Anyone who has ever played Monopoly knows that you never sell off your 'utilities'.

Further research brought me into the realm of fusion power. It was then that I began to realize what the governments were doing.

So here is the governments agenda:

Sell the coal-fired power stations to private enterprise

Only lease the powerlines and other infrastructure to them

Know that the private companies don't have unlimited taxpayer funds to keep up with demand

Know that they will continuously increase the cost of electricity to stay on demand

Due to demand overriding supply, accidental brown outs and black outs will begin to happen

Eventually programmed black out will become a daily occurrence

Know that the population will revolt over this issue and demand that the government step in and fix the issue

Eventually the government WILL switch on their new Fusion power stations that are secretly being built as I am typing this.

Now the private run power station companies will be out of business, and THEY have to clean up the sites using their own money.

Know that the people will be so happy to have 24/7 power again that there won't be much resistance to fusion energy from those that don't understand that fusion is so much safer than fission.

conversing

RE: Breakthrough in nuclear fusion

@ Grand~ wave

First off you need to understand what is and is not used in nuclear fusion. There is no uranium used, therefore there are no fuel rods that need to be stored.

Nuclear fusion as opposed to fission uses two isotypes of the hydrogen molecule taken from any source of water, fresh or sea. Those isotypes are Tritium and Deuterium, they are then heated by squeezing with magnets in a vacuum chamber and ignited to form a plasma. The heat from this plasma is then used to create steam to run a turbine. The byproduct/exhaust from this fusion process creates water vapour and helium.

Multiple computer-controlled magnets keep the plasma suspended in the centre of the chamber If at any time the hot plasma touches the sides of the vacuum containment vessel, the system automatically shuts down due to plasma cooling. There can never be a runaway event as what happens in a fission reactor when the rods are exposed.

Basically, Fusion is the same process that happens in the sun.
