@ Itchy, Girl - .... I know all too well that feeling when a family member leaves after a stay:
As you know I spent a week at my sister's place recently and of course she cooked for me, did my laundry etc. On the evening before I left I handed to her and her husband a $300,00 voucher to her favorite restaurant in appreciation. A little gesture like this goes a long way to reduce the "Glad he's gone" feeling, or at the very least leaves them feeling a little guilty at even thinking like that....
There's no such thing as a free lunch but many people tend to take advantage of their own family.
@ Chat~ - ..... When I was a teen I used to work on a fishing trawler and that fish that you have there is called Hake, we used to get heaps of them off the 200 fathom line..... Just watch out for those teeth.
@ Johnny~ ... The current Director-General of WHO Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in an interview that in early January they were told that no-one had yet died from the virus and they didn't want to cause an international panic believing that it was still contained in China according to the Chinese authorities....
@ Johnny~ .... According to the Chinese whistle-blower, Doctor that later died of the virus (suspect he was bumped off), the virus has been around since October 2019
The only reason that the end of December was made official is because that is the date that the Chinese got caught out and notified WHO. Then the WHO sat on it for the best part of a month before informing the rest of the world.
@ Capri, Girl - .... OMG I nearly overlooked you there..... If they have something big to hide, then they will just play ping-pong until the subject fades into oblivion.....
@ EXRED - .... I believe they are mostly using ventilators for the really bad cases but I did hear a news report the other day whereby they saved a man's life by placing him onto a heart-lung machine as a last resort to give his lungs a chance to drain and recover......
@ EXRED - .... Too right, there is a lot of blaming going on, China blames the USA and visa versa....
The problem that I find is that everyone is talking about finding a vaccine but I done hear anyone talking about trying to find a cure.... something to treat an infected person so as to make them well again......
@ Itchy, Girl - .... I didn't up-load that link primarily for the video clip but more so the story on that page that was below the clip. He only got four months in goal...
Nice2~ - ... I doubt very much that this virus is going to kill less than the influenza because for one the Chinese aren't being very truthful about their numbers and secondly it is still far from over....
A little while ago there were four ISP's in China that gave some clue as the the probable numbers in China. They announced that something like twenty one million mobile accounts have completely vanished from their books. Almost everyone in China has a mobile phone.
@ EXRED - ... It does make one wonder where these viruses originate, For example bats have been around for a very long time and Chinese wet markets for nearly as long, so why all of a sudden now? There must be another, more credible explanation ....
@ Track~ - .... I'm sure that a pharmacist could kill you in a thousand different ways..... me thinks that maybe he should not eat anything off of his plate nor should he drink anything from his glass.....
@ Harbal~ - .... Sardines in a can, sounds like cat food to me.... you do realize that one of the aisles in every supermarket is dedicated to pet food don't you?
