@ 2intrigued - ... Sounds like a great idea but since CS started this new format I haven't been able to figure out how to up-load photos from my computer. I used to have a library of photos on here but they all disappeared and whenever I create a blog there are several tabs at the top, one of which should allow me to add photos but they are always 'grayed' out and don't work.....
I can load photos from the web but not from my comp......
@ 2intrigued - .. Thank you and like I mentioned to Bearwoman I know of another that has a Coolpix and he's been extremely happy with it, and you know what they say: 'When you're onto a good thing, stick to it'........
@ Bear~ - ... I know of another person that has a Coolpix and they are very happy with it, never had any problems......
The D500 allows you to save each shot directly to an Android device like a pad, tablet or smart phone (wirelessly) using a free app if you wish or to one of the two memory cards on the camera. Very versatile indeed.
@ Ken - ... I've had quite a few cameras over the years, I did love my Canon T50 for quick snap-shots but its resting in the depths of Botany Bay Sydney since 1980's.....
The D500 has a 20.9 MP sensor. Its not a 'full frame' unit (FX), its a DX 23.5 x 15.7 mm
@ Onacrest~ ... Simples... I prefer the crisp optical view as opposed looking at an LCD screen, especially when shooting in low light. Therefore I've never considered a mirror-less camera even though they are getting better all the time.
My last DSLR is a Fuji Finefix..... worked well for a while then it picked up a gremlin that I've never been able to get rid of and Fuji weren't any help at all. Nikon has put in the hard yards in DSLR cameras and has a much better range of accessories, lenses etc.
I'm sure the X-T3 is a fine machine but I like a little weight in my camera especially when balancing a zoom or telephoto lens.
I took a look at the X-T3 and I prefer the ergonomic shamp of the D500 too.
@ Elegsabiff - ... I'm not sure if you could call it a 'perfect gift' but these days it seems that a gift card is considered an acceptable gift, especially if you're not sure what the other person would like. For her maybe for a spa or her favorite boutique, for him maybe a hardware, auto parts or camping store (bottle shop, Ireland.. ).
@ Itchy, Girl - Cleaver or not it appears that the series of 'Jack Taylor' begins on Tuesday nights now. Obviously the movie was an introduction to the coming series ......
@ Itchy, Girl - ... I for one wouldn't be looking to learn the craft.... ... but a few flying lessons might not go astray...... but then I'm not too sure that I have the right Girl for the job after seeing some of your 'broom-cam' shots.....
@ EXRED - Oh give over Girl..... that's how malicious rumours start......
You wish to meet with Itchy too?....... so why haven't you, you just live up the road..... 424 miles.... its only a weekend trip return. In Australia we would drive that far just to buy a bottle of milk if we had to.....
I have an appointment in Sydney CBD at 9:30 am on Tuesday, going to be leaving here at 2 am because the parking gates open at 7 am for trucks and its 'first in best dressed'... it's going to be around a 5 hour journey each way, I'll be back home just after lunch........
@ What~ - .... Me thinks its time to get a new kitten....... however I do believe there is a cute little witch on here that may be interested in a swap, her devil cat for your master-blaster kitten...... ......
@ daniela~ - ... Hi there Girl..... this blog wasn't geared to put anyone off visiting Galway, to the contrary, why a film would put it in such a bad light when it is quite obvious by all the positive responses that Galway is a grand place to live and visit.......
@ EXRED - ... Nothing to turn around, just a little misunderstanding at the start, that's all and anyhow wasn't it you who stuck up for me earlier...... eh......
BTW you did get one thing right, I'm a Gemini, ruled by Mercury, Mercury is the 'messenger' ...... right..... .... we're used to being target practice for cute little witches.......
@ Itchy, Girl - Not to worry you just make sure that you get plenty of shut-eye, Girl so that you're bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when you get up.......
New camera up-grade needed...........
@ 2intrigued - .... Yep I was a free member once too but lost my password to it years ago......What I'd like to know is how to up-load photos from my computer (hard rive) directly into CS like I used to be able to do.......
......
