Every country should have the basic right to choose for themselves who their friends will be and not be threatened and indirectly forced into what the west wants. Now the UN is pushing the narrative that Putin shows he is a coward and he knows that no one wants him in their country that he is a pharia etc. This is absolutely not true, as Putin agreed not to personally come as it would put Ramaphosa (who is huge friends with putin) in a catch 22 situation where much promised aid to SA will be lost, and will be heavily penalized. All these aid promises were part of carrots dangling and now Ramaphosa chose the aid and still is able to keep his friendship with Putin safe and sound.
