“It is about consciousness. Not letting thoughts control your mind/ life,/ destiny. About letting go of ego.”
What do you mean by not letting thoughts control your life, etc? I assume that, usually, most of us think of things we have to do or would like to do, before doing them.
Please elaborate on your use of the term “consciousness”.
The article states that in non-marital relationships, women reported the same level of relationship quality as men. However, in the marriage relationship, women reported lower levels of relationship quality than men.
What factor(s) do you think are responsible for this change in the women's report?
DC has hinted that the husband may have had an extra-marital affair.
You have posed some very interesting questions as food for thought. With regard to your question: “Does it have a life after body is dead and what form would it take?”
In the blog, I mentioned that, after death, the “life energy” may even exist in a different dimension.
I expressed this view in a previous blog: “Frequency Dimensions, Multiple Universes, After-De...”
Here is an excerpt from it:
“A band of frequencies constitute a dimension or universe. There are a multiple number of dimensions, meaning that there are multiple universes.
Your consciousness is tuned to the 3D wavelength, which determines what you physically see and how you interact with objects. The 4th dimension has a different set of properties, hence you cannot see anything from the 4D reality, unless you change the frequency of your body to correspond to the frequency of the 4th dimension. Each dimension has its own specific frequencies and wavelengths. Life in the universe is not limited to the 3rd dimension; it is just that we cannot see the other realities that exist, because those realities have different frequencies and wavelengths that do not correspond to our 3D senses. Therefore, our physical existence on Earth is simply one of many infinite realities in the “Multidimensional Universe.”
I believe that when we die, our consciousness, soul, spirit or whatever, enters into a different dimension with a different frequency or vibration from that which we can normally feel or sense in ordinary day-to-day life. If someone is able to tune in to that frequency range, they may receive messages or signals from that dimension. This is similar to the reception of broadcasts from various radio stations or television channels, where we need to tune in to the operating frequency of a particular station or channel. Paranormal experiences probably occur when there is an interaction of the reality of some other dimension with that of our ordinary day-to-day world.”
“As we have all evolved from some species closely related to the Great Ape would it not be logical to believe that, if there is such a thing as a soul, animals would have acquired one first?.....”
Very Good Question!
The process of evolution from some “lower” life form to a “higher” life form, that is, the human species is a continuum. At exactly what point in the continuum, can we say the “soul” (in the traditional sense of the word involving the teachings of religion) came into being?
In this blog, the use of the word “soul” relates strictly to that life force or life energy that is associated with a living entity. According to the Law of Conservation of Energy, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So when that living entity “dies”, that energy still continues to exist. It may be changed to a different form or exist in a different dimension.
Very important blog dealing with consumerism and consumption in modern society!
Here are some relevant factors:
"Difference between Consumerism and Consumption ??
My mum buys that much of clothes !!!! More... But only wears that much
Consumerism is a social and economic order that is based on the systematic creation and fostering of a desire to purchase goods and services in ever greater amounts.
There is a very important difference between consumption and Consumerism. If consumption is the act, Consumerism is the social system which exists when that act becomes defining of a society. And it's Consumerism that causes the problems. Consumerism takes the act of consumption and turns it into the defining act of our role as social beings
a timeline of consumerism
"Buy now, pay later"
Keeping up with the joneses 1925
1929 - 1945 : Depression & War Charge it !!
"Big is better"
Factors leading to consumerism Advertising Advertising is a form of Marketing communication used to encourage, persuade or manipulate potential customers to take or continue taking some action.
Debt
Obsolescence Obsolescence is the state which occurs when an object , service, or practice is no longer wanted even though it may still be in good working order.
Social Factors
Planned obsolescence Planned obsolescence is a policy of planning or designing product with an artificially limited useful life, so it will become obsolete, that is, unfashionable or no longer functional after a certain period of time.
Perceived obsolescence Is when a costumer is convinced that he needs an updated product, even his existing product is working well"
You asked for a song that sums up one's life. Here is mine: (the lyrics are posted after the song)
There are more questions than answers Pictures in my mind that will not show There are more questions than answers And the more I find out the less I know Yeah, the more I find out the less I know
I've asked the question time and time again Why is there so little of a moment Oh, what is life, how do we live What should we take and how much should we give
There are more questions than answers Pictures in my mind that will not show There are more questions than answers And the more I find out the less I know Yeah, the more I find out the less I know
Oh, yeah
Oh, what is life, how do we live What should we take and how much should we give
There are more questions than answers Pictures in my mind that will not show There are more questions than answers And the more I find out the less I know Yeah, the more I find out the less I know
Thanks for posting your itemised list of what love is. Each one is a gem.
Yes, true love should be cherished as you mentioned:
“True love is there we should embrace the time we have taken for it to come our way, because when it does we should hold on and cherish every moment like it is the last breathe we will take.”
Hope all is well with you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Love with us. There is absolutely no doubt that Love involves a very special feeling for another person as you stated.
Yes, respect is an important component of love.
Giving each other space is also vital, as you mentioned.
“Space is needed between each other! To give them time to do things that need to get done, time to spend with family, friend as well as time with one self!.”
Kahlil Gibran puts it very nicely: “And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow."
Allowing each other space is synonymous with trusting, which is integral in a love relationship.
Alphamale I appreciate your reference to the fact that someone who is rich may have worked very hard to become rich. However, the blog is simply asking the question whether there is some order that determines the type of family environment into which a person is born.
Thanks for your answer which is stated in your last paragraph:
“Being born into a rich family is a game of chance (probability). … ...Similarly, being born into a poor family is a game of chance (probability) “
Minerva Re your statement: “As you said, many souls have come here from other planets to help humanity and the Earth going through this transition time going through tremendous changes of consciousness.”
What I stated in my response to your previous comment is: “In this blog, previous lives refer to past lives on this earth. Several cases are described that claim to support this. However, if I recall correctly, you speak of previous lives on other planets besides Earth. What is the basis of such a claim?”
I did not say that souls from other planets come here to Earth.
LonelyfromAfrica In the wider sense, destiny or karma extends to past, present and future lives. The conditions of one's present life is determined by one's past life and one's present life determines one's future life. Thank you for your input.
LonelyfromAfrica: “Destiny... there was no luck of millions of Africans being born in poor African countries...” The question still remains why were those particular poor Africans born where they were born. Reincarnation attempts to provide an answer to this question.
