Jim thanks, my oldest daughter lives about 5 miles from the center and just bought their house last year, built about 15 years ago and it probably stood safe due to building codes. Had this happened in the third world or specially the Philippines where codes are jokes, I've no doubt thousands would have been dead.
Ito, yes and part of the strength I put on my belief that there's God is precisely these occurrence that is beyond man to put his hands on. There's got to be a Supreme being beyond any doubt who's doing is tied up to natures fury and blessings. Like I mentioned we didn't ask to be born, we didn't order our make up on the genetics and or development, we're gifted with life. So I'm sure in line with this thinking, there's God. But only through one's acceptance and or faith that it makes sense.
Probably there's a connection between the two ken, and that is because both are consumables, but for purposes of arguments, our lives as globally intertwined makes no significant difference in terms of life's substance, however our predisposition are the directions results of our inherent cultures mores and values. I strongly believe that if we become more forgiving and allow a level of tolerance KN our practices and ways of life there's a limitless possibilities.
But OBS, presented a very brilliant argument as to how the tides of power changes once the economic favor is in the hands of the Muslims. An ideal that I concurred.
In a manner of speaking, perhaps the exception is the most transparent among those that choose to be impartial. With due respect to your opinion on the high end patronizing of designer's market does obstruct the message conveyed.
Having said that I'm more on the genuine gap of the poor against those that are privileged. But if we isolate the concept of being well off on life, then perhaps we won't be so occupied on the causes of social injustice, would we?
Yet we have Jesus that withstood the curse of man and the way I see it, is not much of a stretch at the present conditions of humanity today. Mandela and Mother Teresa, did their best and my question is, what does it take to be like them?
Butterfly IMO, there's strength in conformity. The coyote concept. Brainwashing is a tool to acquire such cohesion in a group. A most powerful exhibit by the Mafia institutions.
Oppression crippling the weak, offered protection is the antidote that motivates their loyalty to such a powerful and cohesive group. You're strong and you'll never going to be in the order of manipulation but how many are like you? Not many, I'm afraid.
There is a good raft to safety my dear Calleis. Sensibility and being mindful of others. A whole human issues worthy of blog unto itself. Guilt ridden conscience, the source of dysfunctional mood.
A measure easier said than done. Like Obs said: "FOR EVERY MINUTE indulge on the Web we spend two to better the world" sounds like an achievable measure of greatness that can go a long way and pave our road to a world that triumphs peace and equality to all.
Let's start here inside our hearts. We can do it. The sooner the better. What do you think? Fellow earthlings?
Luke my friend, your blog on the BTOTHERHOOD, it not leaving my mind. Deception and lies utilized to serve well the well defined greed and corruption of the maniacal leaders of the world.
Would it be safe then, in line with OBS' comment where liberalism permeates the soul of positivity while decadence begets, turmoil and collapse. So let's share all the world's wealth where NO ONE IS POOR AND ALL IS OF WEALTH?
Calleis my friend, our dispositions and mentality, and drive in life is a predisposed effects of our economic capabilities. Example should it happen that we're not motivated by any use of bettering ourselves, we'd all be in Hawaii sipping our liquor and Jack Daniels, right?
Note : then we all fly first class, wear all Armani, and Barney, wear shoes by BALLY, AND WATCH BY ROLEX, AND DRIVE FERRARI. Now Obs, comments, will now stand as a measure of what good we do and no more evil.
I am almost sold to your account on the merits of liberalism induced by economic bounty. But point taken, so then my question is, can we all be rich? So that peace is no longer a question torn between the poor and the rich?
On the contrary, the saying of the rich getting richer at the expense of whom?
Would our mode change then? ALL OF MANKIND TO BE IN THE SAME ECONOMIC LEVEL?
I admire your tenacity and positive dispositions Obs. As usual you seem to be in bubble living on filtered atmosphere. Where as, your bearing seems to downplay the evils of society today compared to the past. Can you provide an acceptable modem that completely produce comparison of any good if not better a way of life man has achieved over the years when it comes to power and greed?
The world as I have presented in my previous blog is dwindling in the percentage of the "have and the have nots".
7 billion people, please tell me as to what number is there that show the margin of the terrorized as opposed to those living in a world with guaranteed food, comfort and peace?
Read the UN report Obs, and tell me, was it really worst then?
Johnny indeed, the followers more like bystanders but bought to give weight of the service that suit the aggressors, just compound the issues, and the capitalization of ignorance is applied and use for our own doom.
Media has become the instigator of such an act it's pathetic to say the least.
Ito, how are you? It's been a while and thanks for your affirmation. Yes while technology truly made it quite easy and fast on the disperse of such news. The fact that man concoct all his energy on the proliferation of evil has remained just as potent if not deadlier than the past.
If we can do all that you mentioned and I mean the whole humanity, there'd be no more wars, killing and mutilation Ito.
My apologies Johnny should have been KAHLIL GIBRAN AND Salman Rusdie, a famous author did a very lucid interpretation of the Koran of which he earned worth millions for his silence.
lol padded cell Z? Like all the comforts of good food, telephone, television and warm bed? At our expense? I guess truly that's a cheaper way to maintain our peace and safety?
May I add Sparky, yes terrorism has become the name of the games, if only to know who's truly got the guts and power. Greed induced society, the lifeline of the corrupt and crooks who rule everything.
Z yes, indeed. Now aren't we lucky? We're nowhere near the God forsaken battlefield? And here we are blogging about it? Sometimes Z I wonder what made us lucky and the poor victims are not?
I beg your pardon Sparky? The beginning? I taught Ancient as well as Western History and boy, this religious and cultural battle is as old as man himself. Only now the means and ways got more potent and deadly. Think of the weapons used today?
I am beginning to believe that civilized world should have a more precise definition to regression of man.
LIFE AND IT'S FRAGILITY OF IT ALL
Thanks Ed, did it ever affected you?
