LIFE AND IT'S FRAGILITY OF IT ALL
Right by the doorstep of our lives, comes destruction not from the doings of man but from the unquestionable force of nature.I was startled by the news that woke me up. A 6.0 earthquake registered on the Richter scale hit the heart of the WINE CAPITAL of the world. My hometown for the last 35 years.
The point of my blog is that here we are, with the majority of the super powers of our planet busy scheming for the elimination of mankind when in fact NATURE, in itself can do that in a split second. The worse part is whether we like it or not, there's nothing we can do.
When typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines in October of last year, 15,000 people perished, and many major Natural catastrophe have happened that cost man so much strife and destruction.
Now look at us, why can't we just use all our efforts to better our lives and leave nature to do its job of destroying us?
Thanks for reading, and I'd ask all of us who are interested to contribute or talk about any natural disasters that you are aware of whether involved directly or read about it. Is there anything we can learn from it?
Thanks for reading and commenting.

Moses may find a bitter spring in a hole on the mountain top.
How is your beautiful country?
Behind this is an ever greater force that people have forgotten about too. We as humans are now without gratitude for the simple things like safety and food and shelter and greed rules.
Be safe.
Very sorry about the earthquake in SF. I read it early this morning online. Are your children, friends and your home safe? Will this change your plans about going home?
I was unaware of the earthquake that hit your area until now...reading your blog...hope your okay...Vancouver is supposed to face a major earthquake eventually within the next 10 years...so they say...but I think most people will be unprepared for the event...I just hope I am not working when it happens...I cannot imagine the lives lost or the destruction that will occur. Nature is a beautiful and dangerous force...we have no control over her many storms but we can control ourselves if we want to...but I think greed has taken over and no man thinks about the future anymore...gratification now seems to be the theme...
Thanks Ito
Had this happened in the third world or specially the Philippines where codes are jokes, I've no doubt thousands would have been dead.
They are safe Jim, thanks
We just have to be aware and be ready hopefully when it happens.
I'm so sad about man's dispositions on matters we can control and it is so disappointing that we don't have a united efforts to better our only one planet my dear friend.
Thanks
Thanks anyway Scouse.
I agree with that Scouse is saying here:
"Lindsey hi girl, why bring god into it?The whole world(EARTH)cosmos has bean shacking for ever and will not stop, just hang on as best you can"...
I´am afraid that earthquakes have nothing to do with humans. If you leave on a fault line, that´s what happens?
It is true, and I believe, that we can affect the weather (hurricanes, tornados, global warming etc.) with our emotions, but earthquakes we cannot. It´s just a natural disaster which happens not only on our planet, but also on others.
Thanks my friend.
I happen to have a friend who lives in Chico (a "special" friend) who wanted me to go and visit him... He lives right on the San Andreas fault!
I just hope he is alright as I haven´t heard from him for a little while?
Please keep us informed.
Thanks Nam.
In 1989, the Cypress bridge which killed so many was only minutes away from me when it happened. I was visiting my relatives from San Jose and on my way home, bam it happened. I couldn't steer my car and the road was billowing like the rolling hills,. That's one of the scariest experience I ever had.
Thanks my friend and I'll keep you posted.
Thanks Nam.
I think everything in our life we have no influence on whatsoever is just scary.
But the thrill of it all is the moment to moment or the day to day account, life is peachy cream.
I'm not going to trade my place to anywhere in the world except perhaps Switzerland, and or Australia, of which hold my greatest memories that if given a choice, it's where I'd live.
Thanks Scouse.
And yes just reaffirm the fact that when nature does the accounting, we can only conform and comply. Scary and be afraid suits our sentiments.
Thanks.
Annihilation of mankind done by callous and evil man is beyond me to understand Nam.
You don't need to make it a big deal, please?
Reading through some of the comments I realize that our beautiful Mother Earth whilst she deals out some pain at times .. it is all natural... I worry so much more about the unrest of peoples hardness off hearts and the need to hurt another human being.. purposefully either with unkind words or actions. Mother Earth is under the law of the earth and universe ... what has to be done has to happen..WE as human beings can chose what we want to do or say that can hurt and damage another. It amazes me that man.. and ONE man ALONE.. can cause so much pain and devistation to another by unkind and cruel acts.
It all starts with you and me... how we treat each other.
Thanks for your blog and your insight into things.. always you do with desire for a better world and sadness for the heartbreak that disasters can bring.
