RE: Life skills vs mental function

Well, whatever it is, it's a sad sort of thing. I guess that's just my projection, but it seems sort of pathetic to go to those extremes in order to get attention.

RE: Family.....

I wonder how many people have families like you describe, Aa.

Maybe people can be family even though they are not related. Intentional communities are becoming popular.

RE: I'm a woman, very thankful and very grateful

Guess that means I have to tolerate and respect the 'good ol boys' too. mumbling

LOL! I'm evolving.....ffrustrated

Have You Ever...

Thanks, Lindsy!

Yes, I agree. I know I can get stuck in my own loyalties and prejudices. It is a constant practice to notice and question them as they come up.

Some, I find, I am just fine with at this point in time.

I've done so much studying and find that as soon as I get hooked into a belief now, something invariably comes along to knock me off my perch. :)

RE: I'm a woman, very thankful and very grateful

Aa, that was a good one! I bet you made a woman that Shakespeare would have been proud to cast in one of his plays.

Lindsy, I am glad you are championing women. I feel like women who stand up for themselves are now being labeled as feminists and not in a good way. Pfffttt....I'm so done with defending and explaining my right to be treated with kindness and respect.

There are always going to be 'good old boys' who like the delusional idea that they are above others or better than others. It is just their paralyzing fear acting out.

I feel the way Mother Teresa felt when she was invited to an anti-war rally. She said she would attend a pro-peace rally, but not an anti-war rally. In the Bible it says to "resist not evil". Energy flows where attention goes. :)

I'll attend when it's pro-everybody. I want us all to do well.

Caveat: I do love a good debate now and again. Hehehe

Have You Ever...

Aa, well, the ancient Greeks knew but I'm betting most people nowadays wouldn't even know what the hell that quote means.

Have You Ever...

Yes, Ali, lots of beautiful places in Colorful Colorado. :)

Have You Ever...

Hi Molly! Yes, I am beginning to seek the opposing view whenever I feel myself gripping onto my long held beliefs. It's an excellent practice. I feel more open minded everyday! Hehe

Have You Ever...

Exactly Pat...and by skimming I mean skimming until I find a Google result that agrees with my point of view in the first paragraph. Lol

Have You Ever...

Hehe, KN, you know what I was getting at. I bet I can guess the relationship status of those types, too. :D

I love it when someone 'gets' me. grin

Have You Ever...

Free, yeah, there is so much information out there that people write just to see who is gullible enough to believe it. Trump does have a point with the "fake news" thing, however, his fake news is whatever doesn't serve him and his real news is whatever serves his agenda. That might not be the wisest way of discerning truth. Lol

Have You Ever...

1to1, I'm with you on that score. I have my preferences and still have a fair amount of beliefs, but I am endeavoring to question any belief I have that is not based on what I have experienced.

Most of the time, that isn't all that reliable as in one instance a circumstance might turn out one way and then a similar circumstance will turn out completely different from the last.

Like Bloody wrote. Probably best to rely on inner nudges and then learn from whatever shows up.

Bloody, I think you have the right idea! Keepin' it fresh applause

Have You Ever...

Hi Ali, you are right, of course. I am best off minding my own business.

There's no sense in wanting the impossible, is there? Lol

RE: Money Isn't Everything

Or ten applause

RE: Money Isn't Everything

Hahaha! And if you want to share the burden, Track, you can send some of that to me. I'll help you with that heavy load

RE: Area 51

Pasta, that is one of my favorite phrases! Lol

RE: Area 51

You know, Blue, that is an excellent question. I haven't but driven past the place so I am not sure if they dress the gators up or not

Yes, probers on CS are quite common as well as reptilian types

RE: Area 51

Just South of me there is an alien museum/alligator farm

I kid you not

RE: Life skills vs mental function

It's well known that many doctors have god complexes. Did you know there's evidence that truck drivers may also exhibit this trait? Fascinating really..,

RE: feminism

Hehe... fantasies can be fun!

No problems, really. Just annoyances.

RE: feminism

Yes, Johnny. I'm pretty much all female. Hehe

I was agreeing with Itchy that women are our own worst enemies. Not enough supportive energy. Too much competitive energy.

RE: feminism

Itchy, I totally agree with you.

Johnny, thanks for picking up where goof nut's blog let off. He deleted a comment I made so it must have hit a bit too close to home dunno

Things work best when there is cooperation rather than competition. I believe that most women see cooperation as natural. For the women who have decided that they need to morph into male like personalities? Well, I don't know anything about them or what they are thinking.

I resonate with the idea of "equitable division of labor" and the win/win. Don't much care which gender is involved

handshake

RE: how we are being dumbed down

Johnny, I agree with Tesla. Everything IS energy vibrating at different frequencies.

RE: how we are being dumbed down

Graeme, I reference that movie often. :). It is amazing how much people seem to not know. I figure everyone is like me....seeking deeper truths, but many are just here for the ride and don't care to know if the gears are shot or not.

RE: Mathematical equation...

Sure, Free! The jet fuel it takes would be so much less than all those planes and trains and trucks it takes to ship them here. Bring back some for me too! Can never have too many pendants of my faith.

RE: Mathematical equation...

Pfffftttt......don't be ignorant, Blue. The ones with their heads in the sand are the Fruitarians.

RE: Mathematical equation...

Blue, I'm all about honoring nature. Buying products made that close by would be bad for my environment.

RE: Mathematical equation...

Blue, too expensive.

RE: Mathematical equation...

And for cheap!

RE: Mathematical equation...

No, Blue, math is only for devil worshippers.
