You may be trying too hard. If you're happy with yourself, don't change who you because you'll be miserable, and I'm sure you can do with out that part. If you go this route, it's a good chance it'll take a little longer to find that right person. But I'm sure you want to be happy instead of making changes all because you want to find someone. Is it really sacrificing your happiness?
Yeah, it changed me a little in a sense that I'm even more stubborn and set in my ways. Seriously, no joking. It's also changed me in a way that when I see people around my age, I feel blessed that I have aged well, and in pretty good health.
When I hear younger people cracking jokes about people my age all in fun, I just roll my eyes and think their going to be my age one day, and I'm very glad that I grew up in the era (1980's) that I did. It was an awesome blast during the 80's. Such a shame the younger ones will never have experienced it.
For example, BohemJack may have an alter ego in which he thinks of himself as "blowhardjack). One really never knows how others may think of themselves in regards to alter egos.
Something you could say to trigger a liberal...
