It is actually much more complicated. Prophecy is currently closed. Our current prophets can approach the gates (and they do, successfully), but the gates themselves are closed. When G-d decides our punishment is over, H- will open them again. No mortal may pass through, until that time. Those that claim otherwise, are judged according.
Israel felt the quake, but I couldn't find out if anybody was hurt there, as they were all busy announcing aid for the most seriously affected areas and countries.
I'm pretty stubborn too. But, if I ever visit a zoo, and decide to eat a banana, I'd be darn sure to not let people know that the monkey was smarter that me, so I'd open the banana the easiest way possible: I'd throw it into the monkey cage and walk away.
When Covid started, I was 100% against defunding any police. Now, I am 100% for it....well, maybe only 99.9%. Betcha if it was a weather lady, that was beaten, it would have ended differently for the teens.
My wife of blessed memory didn't believe that men regularly got treated worse than women. So, I started making her go to places, separately from me, and doing business with them. She apologized rather quickly. It has only gotten worse as I've aged, so I understand well. The police didn't think that the old man needed protection (who cares about some old man, just like what used to happen during segregation, right?), so the beating the younger guy got was deserved, so they released the poor, misunderstood teens. There's NYC "justice" for you.
-vs- -vs-
My wife of blessed memory used to ride on those trains as a young teen. Things like that didn't happen back then, according to her. I've never been to NY, and don't seem to be inclined to go. I can only think of one thing that would ever make me go there.
They are the only one, beside Jitsi, that is open-source, well, at least sort of. I met one of the prime developers on here. She was quite a nice and intelligent lady. That's why she isn't here anymore, I suspect.
If you look at the birds feet, they are to the right of the hippo's mouth. It looks funny, because the bird is safe...unless the hippo snaps its neck to the right and suddenly slams its jaws shut.
I didn't like the kitty photo. Poor cat can't even defend itself on facebook.
I know nothing about the Kari issue, nor will I likely research it, but your comments about restitution are quite absurd. Many, many poor people can't even afford lawyers--I know, I'm one of them. And to open that "Pandora's Box" on restitution would be like what the English used to do to us, by keeping Justice out of the reach of the poor! It would widen the gap between the rich and the poor.
The Government always has lawyers on their payroll. If they don't do something, then they are just a waste of taxpayers money. So, such lawsuit, even if they are frivolous, are at least making the government lawyers earn their keep!
Perhaps people will laugh at you, as you continue to age--perhaps they already are. I don't find humor in people who are struggling to live their lives, especially as they age. I don't know that man, I suspect, but I choose empathy, rather than ridicule, whenever possible. And it doesn't matter where that person is from, etc.
Many religious folk don't study science, but rather, they study their respective religion instead. As a result, many become dependent on others for knowledge about technology. When a radical, who is also religious, informs them incorrectly, they are often misled. But those that study are often quite wise, and often do figure it out. Thus, those that are at the fringe, are often the problem, when religion is involved.
To me, ignorance is a choice. But, those that struggle with the more difficult concepts (100% of humanity), sometimes draw incorrect conclusions. It is called The Process of Learning.
After the Babylonian exile, Judaism was changed by being captives of the Babylonians. Many of our current customs are said to be directly traced back to that time. But, even after the Temple(s) was(were) restored, many of the customs remained.
I've never studied it enough to tell if it conjecture or fact. But, it is interesting, nonetheless.
We all knew it. Just none of us poor folk were rich nor powerful enough to do a reboot. The demoncrats think that the blue-screen-of-death is normal, but many of us know better, as we've lived without it. Truth is pretty simple, when you don't have the liars muddying otherwise clear waters.
I was married for 26-years. Forgiving and forgetting are almost required, if one is to stay married that long. I would always forgive my wife more readily that I forgive myself. But, that all would certainly depend upon what was being forgiven.
Neither she nor I "messed around" behind each other's back. We'd both had it happen to us or had seen it in the past, so neither of us were interested in that horrible way of life.
But, all the little things: getting falsely accused of eating the last bit of ice-cream, or any false accusation, big or large; hearing the same complaint over and over again, until you almost want to scream, but then you realize you love that person more than you want to scream at them, so you smile, instead; etc.
See, too many people, here, are too busy to even say hello, or so disconnected from proper social behavior to include their name during introductions. When you are having a conversation, when they are done, they almost never say good-bye or good-night, they just logout, and act like everything is just peachy the next time you speak. It used to be if somebody hung up on you when talking on the phone, then it was very rude, at the very least, unless, of course, it was an emergency.
Without some measure of forgiveness/forgetting, I couldn't have been here on CS more than a week. And I see many that can't handle it even that long.
Patience helps, but at some point you realize the utter futility of it all. And, this site seems to be not much different from any other site I had been on.
So, what's my take on it? Well, it certainly depends upon the person and what is to (potentially) be forgiven, but as a rule of thumb, just put it all on a scale and then choose your battles. It seems that some people here want to fight a full battle over every word they say, as if they hold all the wisdom in the world in their skull--likely not so. That will often distance you from others, and possibly even allow them to ridicule you behind your back. It is okay to state an opinion, but then let others have their say. Maybe engage in discourse, but don't make it personal. And if they take it personal, either let them know that it isn't appropriate, or just walk away. A person that is irrational during their discourse, will likely be irrational at other things and at other times, as well. Just walk away, and let the irrational folk putter about by themselves.
Trump likely has 200 supporters, just on CS. Thus, you are completely wrong, and you know it. It is easy to compound lies with lies. We just caught you at this one! And I didn't even have to look at Twitter stock prices to do it.
I guess, then, you haven't heard the saying, "out of the frying pan, and into the fire?" It seems applicable. Especially since they are still 'day-dreaming!'
I don't watch TV. Last night was the first time I watched a Trump speech. I have acid reflux, and have to take previcid daily to prevent ulcer's. Such is life. :)
Yes, I knew, but wasn't paying too much attention. But the other things the OP said were just plain wrong. I watched the video. Nobody was trying to leave. Such statements are absurd, and I get tired of hearing lies.
I'm not keen on having a billionaire run things, but Trump did great as President. The economy was great. Fuel prices were tolerable. The country felt safe. What more can a person ask?
Now, we have Russians at war, fuel prices skyrocketing, our strategic fuel reserves depleted. What are these people thinking? It is like they think the best way for a sprinter to win a race is to tie his shoe-laces together first!
So, yes, you're right, and I did let myself get a little too frustrated.
Who, then, was that woman that he called his wife and stood next to him? Look at frame 1:13:58. Why do you people have to lie like this? People were proud to be there and gave him repeated standing ovations!
I'm an Active Ham. I joke that I'm the only Kosher Ham around. But I really don't see a point to your article. It doesn't further anybody's knowledge about Amateur Radio, nor is it a good read. My advice, sell your equipment.
I can't wait. I just wish the children would play nice for a change. Maybe this time he won't pull any punches!
