The same thing happened to me....in fact, I was lucky to get my son out and me alive out of the fire.....many years ago...so traumatic. It is kind of yu to take them in...they need a little stability....the kids especially. I even lost my best dog.
I am sooo sad....since I broke my toe there are three pairs of different shoes I can wear only...my rubber crocs, my rubber galoshes aka muck boots, and my aqua socks....so dumb!!!
