If staying, why unexpected, if such a long drive to get to you, why not a phone call to ok it before they set out? As for drinking all your coffee as said, why not refill for you?
I haven't walked out of the job, like I said just for today, was in no fit state to continue working. Only the once years ago did I walk after two and half days with no notice, but they had not been honest.
It just made me wonder how many other people have walked and why.
I know how tackless it is not to give notice, I ran a business with my ex, so more than most people I can see the work place from both sides.
Many years ago my shortest job lasted just two and a half days. The reason I left was that they expected you to join a union and if you didn't you had to give the equivelant amount to a charity. Now I have nothing against unions or charities. But I have plenty to say against my freedom of choice being taken from me. Also about how I spend the money that I have earned. Come to that I have issues with not being told things until you have committed yourself to a job!
Today I walked out of the office just half an hour after starting for the day, it will only be for today, I will go back tomorrow. But have been there six weeks and things are not working out as they should for reasons not of my making (truly). Also that is the first time I have walked out, it isn't me. I work at things.
So have you ever walked out of a job and why? What is the shortest job you ever had?
I had noticed before things you said in threads about your being bipolar. I also noticed and applaud you for bringing up your children by yourself, it is hard enough in itself to do without other impediments of any kind. I notice too a picture of you, which is a pleasure to see. I am curious why you will go Sunday, but would hope you and yours will be well enough and happy. I would wish to notice you in the forums again after Sunday if only to let us know things are ok with you.
Many roses and I thank you for all of them and the messages. Will miss your words on here. Hope all goes well with you and yours. Also hope you will come back again.
RE: Company ...love it or hate it?
Oh that I was allowed to be close enough emotionally to my mother to feel that way.
