No, thought or mind is not physical, unlike the brain which is.
But whose to say just what exactly is mind, it can't be observed, measured, or for that matter located. Maybe mind is eternal, Hindus certainly believe the soul is.
Every physical thing is in a constant state of flux, ever changing, even diamonds are not really forever.
This also includes
" Every smell, taste, feeling in the body, sound, sight, and thought. These experiences come and go, and are unstable even when they seem to be permanent."

Loving words from the Catholic Church? There may have been, but many of their deeds were not so loving, such as.....
Child rapes right up to the present day. The Crusades, the Inquisition The systematic suppression of knowledge and free thought. The conquest of the New World where the cross of Jesus slashed and burned it's way through entire populations. Condemning the printing press as the work of the devil. The first man to translate the bible into English was burned at the stake for his troubles, along with astronomers or free thinkers. They condemned the smallpox vaccine as a violation of God's will. They opposed anesthesia in childbirth because they said, a woman is supposed to suffer as a punishment of Eve's sins. And as for the systematic victimisation of Jews....well I'll let Pat enlighten you on that one....
Yes words are pointers just as signposts are and of course a signpost bears no similarity to the place it's pointing to. The word in itself has no inherent substance or quality, it can't be true or untrue.
What appears to mind is true in isolation, but anything that is manifest can never exist in isolation, that is the illusion.
What appears to mind we take as true, it's our basis of interpreting the world around us. All phenomena appears to mind as real and true. But it's an illusion, nothing really exists from its own side or is independent of other phenomena, including the 'self.' The only truth really is the emptiness that contains everything, but no one thing.
I've been here since Sunday but the wi fi is limited to the lounge and dining room. In the little cottage where I'm staying in the grounds there no Internet. ... probably a good thing.
