There are many beautiful cities in the US, but the city that comes to mind, that really caught my attention, is Troy, Alabama between Montgomery and Dothan Alabama. Prohibition had nothing to do with getting people to stop drinking. Automobiles used alcohol for fuel and J.D Rockefeller wanted to stop the manufacturing of alcohol, so he could build his oil empire. He had the power and funds to stop the manufacturing of alcohol completely. During that time, America even had to import rubbing alcohol.
