Nein, my potion works very well, and its results last a lifetime, that is why it was always a heavily guarded secret... only now with me the last in line, and as I have very little morals about these sorts of things, I just letting you all have this Highly Effective Highly Secret Formula, cause then you gonna be stuck with the same partner for the rest of your life... so be Very Careful how you handle it huh?

You can even use it if you run out of tomatoe sauce, or as a marinade, or as a mix for your cocktails.... if you realy want whoever partakes of it, for the rest of your life? or share it with your cat, or your dog, or even a few drops on your pot plants... If you can marinade a toad or two for a few weeks, then the recipient will always believe that you are beautifull, too!

I`m thinking about this one, and I go with the "I love you" one.... I think that has been overworked, done to death, overused, taken advantage of, etc etc.... and this one is the WORST because it is the one little sentence that should not be used as glibly as people do use it?

One can learn one`s lesson with the money lending story.... but how do you learn with the "I love you"`s .... one has to then scratch beneath the surface and probe ....? Or just get cynical?

Yes, probably the correct word to have used would have been "Culture"?.. when people have a culture and act according to it?

I like the culture of Switzerland, the way they care for their environment, and every Swiss takes this very seriously, they do not even question why poisons are not thrown into the earth,they re-cycle everything, they preserve their forests, their rural areas, they dont waste, and they dont allow aeroplanes to fly over their country between the hours of 11pm and 6am, cause the citizens are sleeping!!!!!!!And they do everything RIGHT, cause its the right thing to do.

When a violent crime is committed here.... it is usually never a Swiss person....I say "usually" cause its very very seldom that a Swissy gets violent.... they just got big mouths.

Also, one does not need 6ft high walls, CCTV surveilance, armed response security, a hand-gun,a Rotweiler, Doberman or Pit-bull, and all the other noxious things one needs in SA.

Well Cristina.... My folks were German/Swedîsh/Indian/British... then they died, and then my children left SA (white males = nil employment), then my house got broken into and trashed and robbed 3 times, then my nephew was executed on the roadside, then my best friend was bashed to death in her bed while she slept, then my neighbor was sniped and mortally wounded while drinking her morning coffee on her verandah, and then while she lay bleeding to death, her boyfriend was executed while still asleep, so that their TV, radio and mobile phones could be uplifted, and then my car was hi-jacked from my workplace, and then.....well there`s much more but I dont want to bore you with too much detail, lets just say I got what is called "Gat Vol" of subsidising those who refuse to pay for what they consume, and then I decided to join my kids in their country where I could walk around safely, and not be hi-jacked when I drive, and where what you consume you pay for... in a civilised manner.

PS.. I LOVED my own country, but I love my own life more, and so any loyalty I felt, I just ditched in a roadside bin, like those folk back home who ditch their new-born kids.....

Sorry, but I am not a bleeding heart who will lay her life down for her fellow countrymen, when all they can see is the different colour of my skin....

The one that gets left out in the moonlight to absorb the moon-rays overnight, then taken down to the cellar, and stored for 12 hours, then a few drops of the fungi of the Deadly Niteshade Mushroom is added, along with the bruised petals of Evening Primrose.... then shaken 7 times, rested for 7 hours, and pertussed 7 times, then decanted after careful straining thru the ancient silken cloth of an ancestor from 3 decades back..... Powerful stuff! OOps, nearly forgot, .... a couple petals of the flower of Sympatheticum Oficianalis must be added to the strained mixture and left to rest for another 7 hours. Just a teaspoon in anything, works wonders.

Oh yes, its all because CH is not part of EU. And I`m not part of EU. I carry one of those humble little third world passports.... all because my silly ancestors set off to the Southern Hemisphere to seek their fortunes when gold and available spacious land was discovered..... greedy so and so`s, never gave a thought to their heirs trying to return to civilisation.....

There is another very tiny little voice that is never heard.... Although I hear it very often..... it comes from the little birds in cages. They got wings to fly in the sky. They sit in their little cage and watch other birds. They sometimes have no fresh water, they never feel the rain, and they never get to catch an insect, or eat a bit of naturally grown food out in the open. Their wings must feel like our legs and arms would feel if we were confined in a cage where we could not excercise.

Oh, yes, and again, the other day, I heard another rather tiny voice.... it came from a young cat, sitting on a window sill on the 4th floor of an apartment building..... trying to catch a bit of sunshine, staring at the ground where grass grows and butterflies and grasshoppers hurtle around. No chance to make contact with the Earth to "ground" out the electricity build-up that is inside all living bodies......

As far as I recall.... Scorpio`s are rather nice people, they just give a very nasty sting when pushed tooooo far!

Of course... There is no stopping the breeding programme of Humans and their swamping of the planet, and the shrinking of wild areas.... and this is probably all just sentiment about "freeing" wild animals. But at least it is a Thought. And everything starts with a Thought, before it can become a Deed, and grow into an Action and Accomplished Fact.

So, maybe, somehow, somewhere down the line, the savagery and barbarity of Humans towards Animals will stop.....Dont know how, but maybe...
Or maybe, the animals can pick up our thoughts and this could be some sort of comfort to them...? because neither them nor us can do anything about it...?

Whats the difference to being slaughtered in the wild..... to being tortured in a Laboratory? Which could be worse?


I have known of animals, having escaped from rural abatoires, or the transit truck... to make their way back to their farm..... Sort of shows some form of intelligence, doesnt it? I am not talking here about the huge steel sided modern trucks for carrying the living dead... this was in the "olden" days.

Just a thought..... imagine if we humans had "killing factories" for the infirm and chronically ill... with the prevailing stench of death, like Animal Abatoires do? Imagine entering one of those places... being shoved along, on a conveyer belt, to meet death..? But we do it to Animals.

And then... after Church on Sundays... we sit down to the Roast Meat.

Okay lads, the lady has said IT ALL. Thanks PickyOne, for having the courage, taking the time, and the effort, to put into words EXACTLY what happens here!

It used to be so nice, to see "mail" and "flowers"..... but you know what boys?.... its gotten Boring....because I see this pattern that gets repeated and repeated ad nauseum, most times, the guys even use the exact same words!

And in my profile....I say I WANT TO MEET A LOCAL PERSON.... and then I get emails from 5,000 miles away..... make sense? Unless the person is intending to re-locate in the near future, I wish he would^nt make this effort.

Oh, I guess its a form of flattery, an ego boost thing, for me? But for what reason? Why on earth would a 60 year old female, looking for a guy around her own age, attract youngsters in their 30`s?.... I got sons that age, thank you very much, and I not looking to be anybody`s new Mama.

RE: summer holiday

At this moment... I am considering going to visit my younger son in Dubai.... but the temperatures there are around 58degrees.... he says the sea and pool water is too hot to even swim in, one can stay a maximum of 10 mins on the beach...... so the only things to do, is to stay inside air-con house,car or shopping centres, and maybe go out at night......

Dont know if my Swiss Winter acclimatisation would allow me to exist in that heat?

I was last there in their Winter and felt like a non-human I was so close to melt-down! with may hair stuck to my head with sweat.... maybe wearing one of those Yash-Mac things would be a good idea?

But then, when I think of cruising down the Rhine here in summer and swimming off the side of the boat...... maybe I just stay here..... and use the flight money for beer?

Hi there BeQuu..... long time no see..... No it was the Schengen Visa that was expired.....I use cash money.... I did not mean to be arrogant with the Border Guards, its just that me not being too Lingual in their language, and having a news item translated to me that informed me that with the Swiss Permit I have, I need not renew my Schengen Visa from a certain date last year, and so on presenting myself at the little local Border Post (that was 20m inside Deutschland).... and.... being honest about not being "in transit" to a little finger of CH that curves around the other side of DE (which would have made me "legal") I go and stupidly say I am going shopping...... and end up with a 100euro Fine!

Realy! This border thing is so silly! I can go THRU DE, in transit, and whilst in transit I may go shopping. But I CANNOT go ONLY shopping. Does all this make sense to anyone else, other than a Politician?

AND .... the Swiss are quite happy to have me in their country, I live here, surrounded by EU countries, and they are all terified I may slip into their countries..... to do what? Go cooking and cleaning for them or something?...

Why does Europe seem to have a mind-block when it comes to sterilising their cats? This place where I live is over-run with cats.. just cats cats everywhere!
And we even got one old chap that has adopted us... we tried everything to put him off us.... no food, hosepipe of water, shoo-shoo unfriendly, but he just persisted..... and now he lives with us.
He is a cripple, and half his teeth are missing, the story is that he was hit by a truck.... and because he did`nt live at home... he had moved out when his owners brought home two big dogs..... He just survived his injuries without medical treatment and limps around defending our new property.

Actually we all have grown to love him, he is a Survivor! He doesnt cringe so much now when he hears a truck growling up the road, maybe he is feeling more at home with us now... and he lives on the staircase, two steps down from the top, and swats anyone coming past him.

Oh I get these virtual flowers and emails, but they from places averaging 5000miles from CH... what I supposed to do with those guys? ... and some of them, actually most of them, are realy cute looking and sounding.... but I aint re-locating to the USA, Canada, Alaska etc...Not even for a visit... unless a return ticket is presented at my door by courier service.

Gosh, the last, and only time, I met someone from this site, I became disillusioned with the honesty prevailing here..... seems some folk create this fantasy in their head that is a travesty of reality? So, I ask myself, How many more of these is there out there? Huh?

In the meantime, I just hang out with the nutty locals, maybe one day I find a real live human being inside one of them?!

And I enjoy reading and writing on this Forum..... you are all very nice Cyber Folk.

Would the same feelings apply to another inanimate object? Like her house... if the ex had bought that, and then given it to her in settlement, would she be expected to sell it and buy a new one? Or her car? Or some spanners he left behind that she uses.... Have you checked about her Perfume? that it does not come from him?.. and all the other things in her life...?

This, I feel, is where inanimate objects assume importance out of proportion.... like people worshipping rocks instead of just admitting that they have some sort of power... like everything else in the Universe.....

Things are just things. The fact that she doesnt take it off in bed or the shower does`nt make it Precious... she`s probably just used to it, and one day she will grow out of it.... Especially after receiving new jewellery from you.

Offer to have it melted down and re-made into something Realy Special...? and you provide the precious stones.....?

I`m with you on this one!!!!

My instinct has always prevented me from patronising Zoos and Circuses.

Because it was My choice, I never attempted to influence my children. So when they would receive Free Tickets at school to attend these things, I excused myself and told them I do not support the Capture and Training for Entertainment of Wild Animals, they may go, but they would have to go without me. They grew up, I am proud to say, with the same mindset of boycotting these things, and so do their children.

Animals in cages? The same thing.... they were free to have whatever pets they wanted, as long as it was something that was never caged... and the same attitude prevails to this day, with their own children.

Animals in Cages are Pathetic Reflections of the Human Mentality.

If people simply stayed away from these forms of "entertainment" they will have to cease.... What doesnt create money, dies. Better for the animals to die than to live in cages forever. Anyone denying this, should try living in a cage themselves... and see how long they can stay sane.

Hello everyone out there.... Well, Switzerland is only one month behind schedule in the Global Warming Scene.....the rain is here at last, one month late, but so glad to see it!

Now the Snails are out in force to chew up the vegetable gardens.... its Warfare Time! THAT is the reason CH is Neutral, we got too much fighting to do in our own back gardens....?! There`s about 4 or 5 different breeds of Snails and Slugs, and as one breed is eliminated, the next one arrives....

Now, that is about the most interesting thing I got to say, at the moment.... Wow, but life is exciting here.

RE: breakfast

To Break the Fast of the night before.....? Well, I dont know if this is strictly correct or not, its just another of the bits of information I gather as I career thru life..... I heard that the body, after midnite, goes into "Elimination" mode, which lasts till 11am, and uses that time to clear out malformed cells, detritus of the lymph system and other drainage areas.
So, to break the fast after 11 is a good idea... practiced by rural indigenous folk of Africa (who are a physically fit and strong nation... despite the encroachment of White Mans Lifestyle).

Doing this means you end up with eating only 2 meals a day.... the first at 11am, and the other before the sun sets.... and the body begins to function more smoothly.

I do this, and can no longer stomach three meals a day.... two is perfect.... Most of us no longer know what it feels like to be Realy Hungry before eating, when the stomach is Empty! not just growling in discontent.
