I know where you're coming from kitty. It is certainly an issue if you are a practising Catholic and you want to remarry in the Church. Early this year, I really started to struggle with the issue as it really does create conflict if you start to think about the implications seriously. To me, marriage is a very serious issue. I actually did contact the head office here and spoke to someone. I have the forms to apply for an annulment, and I think my application would qualify on all the grounds for an annulment possible, bar one. It is a bit of a process, and I may go through it for my own spiritual reasons. I informed my son's father of this. His initial comment was that I would not have much chance, but he is a lawyer now, and has since informed himself, and so his subsequent response was, did I realise then, that an annulment would make it appear as if I were never married? Yes, I did realise that. My only concern was my son, and where did that leave him in all this. Well, it seems that Church doctrine has addressed this critical issue, and it has been written into Doctrine that the child of such a union is nonetheless deemed to be legitimate. No flippin' idea how they work that one, but if it's written in, I'm happy with that. If I do get round to applying, which I really to want to as a major part of my own spiritual healing, I know it will make a huge difference to me psychologically also. But we are all different. I know many annulments have been based on the most inane reasons only so a person could remarry in the Church.
Please get your knee looked at, maybe they can put that 'invisible skin' on it for a while to help heal, and protect it against rubbing against clothing/bedding.
I'm with you on the chinotto, however, most of the brands these days no longer have the quinine in it, which is what gave it the name originally.
Still not bad tasting though, especially the San Pellegrino, or Bisleri.
The war in Afghanistan? Senseless, isn't it. Let people fight their own wars if they want to. And yes, Russia didn't get anywhere, so why repeat the insanity? BTW, wasn't it during around that time, that Osama Bin Laden was being trained by the Americans, that is, working WITH the U.S. in some capacity? Or have I got it wrong? Prolly
Well, you got the winning formula though, did you not?
Saturday morning here, washing, blah...but music is on, so
could use phoenix's juke box, but he would never part with it.
I am about to attempt to upload a bunch of landscape photos to a friend of mine on CS here, with some kind instructions on how to. I am such a fumbler at stuff like that.
Oh, phoenix, you do brighten up my Saturday morning. Would love to have your juke box here. No neighbours to worry about, plenty of space beteen us, separate houses, no adjoining walls, traffic outside. It would be juke box heaven, here!
So, guiri and Moiro have eloped, you bet that Lagoona would be pissed!
Maybe we could house sway, phoenix! Though they do speak a lot of blarney here, but mostly English
Aas just kidding earlier. I only asked what were you saying?, that is what might have sparked this off. Then I asked where guiri and Miro were. Haven't seen them for a while.
How are your neigbours? What language do they speak, French, I guess?
