RE: Who viewed u last?

A 24 year old Aussie. Too young and too far! NEXT! lol
I actually hate when guys keep looking at your profile and say nothing. It's a bit stalkerish don't you think? Even worse if they keep looking after you let them know you're not interested. doh

Who's yer latest female Celebrity/famous person Crush?

Yeah, there's something attractive about him. I liked him in Lie to Me.

Matthew McConnaughy is another crush. Alright, alright, alright! Also great in Time to Kill and hot in Magic Mike.

Who's yer latest female Celebrity/famous person Crush?

I agree. And she looks better lately than she did before. She lost weight and it suits her. I like her character in Fair City.

RE: Dinner question

Did ye see Bear Grylls Extreme Island (something like that) programme last week? 13 modern day men, from different walks of life left to survive on an island. Anyway the managed to catch an alligator and one guy got the job of killing it. He was only 23 and had a little farming experience. But he did it humanely. Still had to look away though for that bit. It's on tonight at 9pm, channel 4 I think.

RE: do every human in this world dislike Irish travelers ???

There was a programme on ages ago called The Blood of the Irish and apparently the very first people to set foot in Ireland came across from Siberia. Some of us have spanish/moorish armada blood, some viking, some norman and other more recent mixes.
Somebody said that the travelling community originated from people who lost their homes and everything during the famine and wandered the roads ever since. Don't know if that's true or not.
They've been changed from tinkers to itinerants before travellers, because of the way people abused the names, and used them in a mean and negative way towards them. When really the words themselves are quite innocent. Tinker has to do with metal, pots etc. Itinerant is another name for travelling person, isn't it? The worst sounding one is knacker but it really means someone in the business of putting horses to 'sleep', which has to be done for some horses. It's the malice used behind the names that caused them to be changed.

RE: Pubs

They used to say the same about TV. Probably true though! :)

RE: Perfect

When you meet a person for the first time the first thing you notice is whether they're physically attractive to you or not. The personality comes when you start getting to know them. You can't be attracted to their personality if you don't know what it is!

The attraction can also disappear when you take off the beer goggles!
And for some you might not be attracted to them straight away but they grow on you! laugh

RE: Perfect

Kitchen indeed! Remember dedo, the kitchen is where the knives are kept! (evil grin).

Serene yours sounds like mine except I tend to be more attracted to dark haired men, but have met a few attractive fair haired ones also! :P

RE: Newest Make A Positive Word From The Last Letter

Nice

RE: Top Three Irish Songs,

What's harchibald about? Don't get that.
Yeah the Joyce guy's family I bet from Galway or somewhere in the west. Popular name there.

Oh I forgot about Paul Brady's The Island and The Four Of Us' Mary song. Two great songs.

RE: HAPPY ARMED FORCES DAY !?!?!

How many have they already? I know about Poppy day, that's all.
They well deserve it though I think. Especially those who were drafted. Putting their lives at such obvious risk for their country and not just fighting the enemy. Those trenches were riddled with diseases, dampness, vermin.
Some probably shouldn't be in the army, and may have joined for the wrong reasons.

RE: Top Three Irish Songs,

I think Morrissey's family are from Dublin. Rest of the band probably strong connections also.

My top three I think are:

Run by Snow Patrol
Bright Blue Rose by Jimmy McCarthy
Big Bad Handsome Man by Imelda May (or any of her songs really)

There are others too like Teenage Kicks from the Undertones (does Northern Ireland count? Oh and Van the Man's Moondance)

RE: An Eye For An Eye?

Saying someone deserves to be killed if they have killed someone is one thing, and understandable when someone close has been a victim but actually killing that person who killed is very real with real and horrific consequences.

Wasn't it Ghandi who said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, and the whole world would be blind and toothless.

I don't agree with the death penalty but I do agree that the justice system in all our countries is flawed at times and too lenient on some. Some actually commit crimes because they have a better life in jail than out of it!

RE: Pubs

Find a pub with a smoking area and heaters in it. We got them here and some of them are very well set up.
Sometimes the smoking area is more sociable then the pub itself! :)

RE: Newest Make A Positive Word From The Last Letter

triumphant

RE: Great Lines From Songs

You're just too good to be true, can't take my eyes off of you -Andy Williams, I think

Goodness gracious, great balls of fire! - Jerry Lee Lewis

RE: Break-up Song

Too many to pick one.

being optimistic: Gonna get along without you now - Viola Wills
being pessimistic: If you Leave Me Now - Chicago

current break up song: Say Something, I'm giving up on you - Christina Aguilera

cheesy break up song: Breaking Up is Hard to Do - Neil Sedaka or The Partridge Family

RE: Great Lines From Songs

Got along without you before I met you, gonna get along without you now!
(so there! :P)

RE: Great Lines From Songs

Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be - Doris Day

Take that look off your face, I can see through your smile - Marty Webb

RE: should children under two be allowed to fly

Or a bottle of calpol! laugh

RE: Rhianna & Jayzee

Well my view on it is:
With Rihanna and Chris Brown it was domestic violence.
With Solange and Jayzee it was a public elevator fight with other people there trying to hold her off him. Either she's nuts or she's really angry with Jayzee for something not good that he may have been up to, and couldn't hold her temper any longer. They didn't do a great job of holding her off. Maybe they knew something too! who knows!
I only looked cos I was a bit shocked at it being Beyonce's sister.

But getting those kidnapped girls back to their families is much more important obviously! How terrified they must be. The Boca Harum (sounds like Procol Harem!) group said they converted some of them, brainwashed and terrorised more likely!

RE: Neighbours wife.

laugh rebel and dedovic ye're too funny!

I think maybe don't accept the deal and say nothing.
Be like Manuel in Fawlty Towers "I know noooooothing about the horse (other man)!"

RE: Eurovision and CS look alikes

That was one of our nice songs. Strong competition in Abba though!

Who remembers the Swarbriggs plus Two, another one of our best songs
It's Nice To Be In Love Again 1977
