At what point in history did youth and beauty become more important than age and wisdom?


In lots of tribal societies, the elders were seen as a source of wisdom and were treasured by their society. Looks were unimportant.

In our own society now, youth and beauty are worshipped far above age and wisdom. What happened? When did the shift occur? Whats important to you ??

Women run just as much as men do .I agree with ras ,once the kids start growing up you think of other things .My boys 10 now and yeah he may still be young but i was young when i had him so iv yet to have my fun .Im not ruling out more kids just yet tho ,but it really is on a timer now .

I dont class myself as lucky so much ,i dont tempt the fates nor do i "wish" for what i cant have but i always hope ,thats enough these days i think .To have hope ,the rest is out of our hands .

No i think tho some people forget that others dont always have a choice .Not all countries have the same rules ,different culture sometimes means different laws .Free will does not always apply .
