Theres a lady i have known .. If divorce was more common in India am sure he husband would have opted out . I agree with you . In times of trial the nuances of their personality emerge.
Feelings if true and sincere will never disappear i believe. So i wouldnt balance anything but try to say it as it is , as much as its possible.
But i think a lot of honesty and "feeling" goes in to how its said .. the voice intonation .. everything has feeling .. if its there .. it will be felt .. if not .. its obvious.
