RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

Who were the innocent lives lost to the A-bomb??

What about innocent American lives lost when Japan attacked the US?

The US was Not the strongest country in the world in 1941, that was probably either Germany or Japan.

You are not thinking this through very well.

As to Iran, are you aware of what the Iranian leadership has said should happen to Israel? They have said it many times, even in New York city at the United Nations.

The Israelis have been operating their own undercover spy ring in Iran, for a while now, and they have recently learned that the Russians have been assisting Iran in developing a nuclear weapon. And Isreal recently went to Moscow and basically revealed their undercover spy operation on Iran, because the Israelis don't need it anymore.

The Israelis know all they need to know about Iran's progress with the weapon program. And Iran is much closer to being able to use a nuclear device than Israel or the US knew previously.

So, what do you think a regime like Iran, with religiously suicidal tendencies would do with a nuclear bomb?

Now pay attention here: Mutually assured destruction does not mean anything to a suicide bomber.

You say you want there to be a world where your kids can grow up......

Who doesn't???

Do you think you are alone with that sentiment??

But if you think more about it....it becomes a question of what kind of a world will they have to grow up in?

What you are suggesting, would mean they would grow up in a world of Sharia law, Muslim faith, women would be property, and all the rest....

I guess that is OK with you?

Well ... shame on you.

You should care more about your children, and be willing to fight for what you believe in and want for them.

Peace at any price is a fool's paradise.

RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

No kidding.

I think a lot of the liberals like to rewrite history to spin things to their own liking.

I sure see that happening a lot in Hollywood and the news media.

Just make it up as you go along. Remember what you want and forget everything that does not fit.

RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

No, I did not serve during WWII.... I am not that old.

I just enjoy learning about history. I study all kinds of history from many perspectives.

That is why I can not accept your version of it.

RE: acorn video is a fraud.

Texan by birth:
Other than that though, he's also considered to be one of the greatest Presidents in US history... and the only 1 to be elected for 4 terms!

pssst! Nixon was a Republican! tongue

Lights:

Franklin Roosevelt is not considered to be one of the greatest presidents of all time. He is one of the most controversial.

His efforts to end the great depression were a dismal failure. Roosevelt's Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Morganthau said in a speech in 1937:

"We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong . . . somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. . . . I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. ...And an enormous debt to boot."

Liberals don't realize or want to admit, WWII ended the great depression. It was never government deficit spending.

So, you are aware that Nixon was a Republican? That's good.

Yes he was a bad one.

Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.

And Lyndon Johnson was a Democrat. And a very very corrupt one.

RE: acorn video is a fraud.

I don't have to deny anything Grandepensees.

I am saying he is a lier. He is dishonest, dodgy, and not transparent (as he 'promised' he would be)

So then, to an intelligent person, it simply becomes a question of what he is lying about.

So, why would you believe him?

And you say I am nuts???

Take a look in the mirror.

RE: I need some help here

Yes, it does sound korny.

But....

The Dr Scholls corn removal pads recommended by the responder above will work I think.

The pad helps keep the medicated acid compound positioned over the corn until it softens and loosens enough for it to be removed.

If that doesn't work, just take out your Jim Bowie knife and cut it off, then bandage everything up.

You'll be good as new in about 6 months or so.

RE: acorn video is a fraud.

Conservatives don't have to do anything to make Obama and the Democrats in Congress look bad, they do that all by themselves.

And oh yeah....

ACORN is a fraud.... as is Obama, or whatever his real name is.

RE: Anybody watch disney as a kid?

Me too.

RE: Anybody watch disney as a kid?

I was totally enamored watching Fess Parker as Davy Crockett.

And "Old Yeller" was great too.

RE: History Unfolding

I am very concerned about the direction this administration and this Congress is taking the country.

I am not in agreement with practically any of their liberal socialist agenda items.

And I don't trust this president. He has already revealed himself to be a liar, and now it is just a question of what he is lying about next.

So, I plan to continue to communicate my disagreement with this administration, this congress, and this senate.

And I am going to campaign, contribute and volunteer for the next 2 to 4 years to get these people out of office.

Because I love this country.

BTW, I am glad we elected a black man president. I just wished he was honest. And I wished he loved this country. I am pretty sure Obama does not love this country....

Why? Because he attended Jeremiah Wright's Church of hate for the United States for about 20 years, because Obama feels compelled to go around the world apologizing for the US, and because he is feverishly trying to ram socialist policies through the legislature (as are the liberal Democrat socialists in the legislature.

I am going to fight back.

RE: What do you think is the most common cause of divorce?

Well......

You never know.

Maybe it might.

Maybe it might.

RE: What do you think is the most common cause of divorce?

Right.

Is joke.

RE: What do you think is the most common cause of divorce?

The REAL reason, and I am surprised so many have missed this .......

MIS-MATCHED astrological signs.

You know how in the singles bars, back in the day, everyone used to always ask:
" Uhhhh, what's your sign ??"

Well now no-one ever does that anymore, and the divorcerate is higher than ever!!!

All these divorces are sooo avoidable !

The other big reason is just mis-matched people.

RE: "I love the way you...

I love the way you are.

RE: Another Birthday Boy!!!!

Happy B-Day Mr. Conrad.

You WILDMAN.

RE: why do old men always seem to be all bitter?

What is old??

I would say that if an older person, man or woman, seems 'bitter' it may be more the fact that they have lived through and have experienced more of life's B---S--- , and having 'been there and done that' or 'been there and heard that' enough times that they get tired of the same foolish B---S---.

Consequently, sometimes older people are more impatient and short with foolish young people.

Ya know??

Looking back when I was young and dumb, I am kind of amazed at the patience and restraint shown by some of the older guys I worked with.

RE: I Dont Think So

You are sooo wise and perceptive.

I'll bet you are fun to be around.

RE: Do you have health insurance coverage and if so who pays the premiums?

There are a number of other configurations too:

Employer pay for employee, but nothing on dependants.

Health Savings Accounts with various amounts contributed by employer and employee.

Section 125 plans, sometimes called caferteria plans, where anything the employee pays for health insurance, co-pays, deductibles, or dependent care, is paid free of all Social Security w/h tax, Fed. income tax, and state income tax.

And probably more.......

RE: Do you have health insurance coverage and if so who pays the premiums?

You forgot the option where the employer pays half and employees pay half, or close to that.

Genius has its limits.

RE: Sayings

I see.

One of my Dad's frequent sayings when I would get home was:

"What did you do for your country today?"

And I never felt I had a very good response for him to that. Mostly just stammered around like a dumb kid.

RE: Sayings

That's because "All roads lead to Rome...."

RE: Sayings

I thought that "come on" line was:

"What's your sign ?"

Like:

"Haven't we met somewhere before?"......

(Wishful thinking, really)
