RE: What you don't know won't hurt you

I don't agree that what you don't know wont hurt you.

It certainly did hurt me. If I had known certain things about a partner I never would have trusted him when he said he loved me.

When you trust someone to the point that you don't see the red flags you make yourself vulnerable and open to hurt.

RE: Forums Posting at a Very Minimum..

That's a good question "What could be the problem?"

Continuous Bullying and Arguing will certainly keep people from posting.

It's okay to disagree with someone's post if it leads to a good bantering session.

It's another thing when certain posters keep attacking and bullying members day after day.

Why would anybody put themselves in that environment?

I wouldn't if it was happening to me.

Hopefully the regular posters will come back.

RE: Which member of CS is your favourite poster since you joined?

Watch how people treat a sales clerk when they don't get the refund they expected and the clerk says may I see you I.D.

Listen to a traveler at an airport check in desk when they tell the clerk they HAVE to get on the next plane and the clerk says I'm sorry sir there are no empty seats.

Take notice of how someone treats their cranky child when at the check out counter in the grocery store. Do they tell the child to shut up, do they smack it alongside the head or do they talk in a calm voice encouraging the child to listen.

When you're on a date, you and your date place your order. The waitress serves it but it's not exactly what he/she ordered. How does he/she tell the waitress he/she wants something else.

When you are at your son's baseball game you see another parent screaming at the referee because the referee said the other boy didn't touch the base therefore he is out.

I take notice when people don't say thank you when someone helped them out of a sticky situation.

Seeing people lash out at someone because things didn't go their way gives me an idea of what they are like at home with their significant other.

Like I said, Frank is a crooner.

Karl, that's a good match of Frank with Rachmaninoff cartwheel

RE: If you are among the very young at heart

Really? Joey? Maybe that's why Michael Corleone killed him? laugh

RE: If you are among the very young at heart

Not even close. Sinatra was a crooner. He made you believe the words the way he sang them.

Martin was a philanderer and the way he sang showed how he was trolling for the next woman.

RE: In Four Words

I'm happy for you yay

RE: Last to post wins

Winning from the real North Carolina

RE: Favorite, Hobbies, Pastimes, or Bloopers...

Larry, I worded the blooper incorrectly. I can handle a hammer. The problem is I can't find wall studs. I think they are 18' apart but I still can't find them. I've done the thing where I pound on the wall looking for different sounds and I still can't find the stud.

I need a stud Larry laugh

RE: Favorite, Hobbies, Pastimes, or Bloopers...

PASTIMES
I used to make my clothes (can't afford the material anymore)
I used to do a lot of knitting (carpal tunnel syndrome put a stop to it)
I used to do a lot of reading (since eye surgery not doing so much)

FAVORITES
Sewing
Dancing
Reading

BLOOPERS
Anything to do with hammering nails or hooks into the wall

BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT
Making my sister's wedding dress

RE: In Four Words

I have the sniffles sigh

RE: Who eats farmed fish?

After watching that video I know I won't ever buy another frozen meal that has fish in it.

Farmed salmon and fresh salmon have a completely different appearance.

One has a slimy look about it and the other is a bright orange with white veins which is my preference.

I buy tilapia because it's difficult to find good thick slices of flounder in North Carolina

My favorite fish is Fluke which is found in Barnegat Bay in New Jersey.

I used to fish off a boat in the Bay and caught many Fluke that I had for dinner that night smitten
