My today really has nothing to do with making my tomorrow to be better. My today is taken as it comes, and hope I make it through it having done well. Having end my day with a sound and healthy night,and believing that I did all I could to make it good. Followed by a restful sleep. My tomorrow will be a good one if I choose to start it right. In good spirits and happy to be alive. I usually wake up giving thanks that it is a beautiful day, and putting a smile on my face, and getting on with it, as a brand new day. Kat

8 inches of snow here. Ice underneath it.We had freezing rain accompanied by sleet and thunder and lightening and the snow, and then more freezing rain and sleet. Then more snow. Had lots of sun yesterday, but it made for plenty more ice this morning. It is about 30 degrees right now. Roads are treacherous. Traffic pretty much at a standstill, or very very slow. I am fixing to get out in it. I have to work today. My son lives 2 hours from me, and where he is at, it is 14 inches deep and more ice. It was 9 degrees last night. When it is cold here, it is very cold. A wet cold. Brrrrr. Kat

Housing here is getting out there. But it also depends on if it is a small town or a big town. One can make it here and raise a family, as long as they are willing to work at it. And luck can help somewhat too. Kat

Really rich people make me sad, and angry. While I think it is great that some make it and live well. There is way too much waste by many, many rich. I work in the construction industry. I am in houses all the time where there is just a couple that build a house that is anywhere from 3500 sq. ft. to 7000 sq ft., with 5 bathrooms!!! Four, five, or even six bedrooms. Two dining rooms and four car garages and sometimes more. Laundry rooms that look like kitchens. Why would two people in their 40's and 50's need something like that? That is more than enough. If a person can afford that, then why can't they put a little mony where their mouth is and help Habitat, or help people get on their feet? I am broke, and I do all that I can feesably do. I wish I were to come into lots of money. But, to be fair, I do know a rich family personally. They do not buy their kids cars and pay their ways. They must work for what they get and earn and own their values. I have heard them tell the kids friends that they are not rich... but the parents are. This family I respect. I also know that they give to schools and churches. Kat
