And you point is??? So send kids to be taught by Christian Brothers or Nuns and the kids get sent home with a mars bar and a packet to tayto to keep them quiet after receiving the finger of fudge ??? And the kids get taught about a fairy story that their parents don't believe in. School should be about teaching kids how to read, write and think for themselves....

Kenny why do you and almost everyone else fall into the trap and think a true Irish Republic would cost loads.... Fact is everyone would be quids in because the gov. would control the purchasing power, introduce interest free money ( read up on colonial scrip, Thomas Paine...read Common Sense)...
Instead what we have today almost in every country in the western world is private companies printing money and selling to the gov with interest...

My money (no pun) is republicans would have thrown the bankers in jail similar to what Iceland did... But then again if republicans were in power then the banks would be nationalised and the gov. would control the buy and purchasing power so recessions wouldn't happen....
What I find strange (for want of a better word) is how many people here and else where do know what Republican Ideology actually is. Most mistake Republicanism with wars or Democracies and Republicanism is neither a war ideology nor mob rule......
