Gang violence fears after drugs bust uncovers huge arms find
The seizure of an arsenal of high-powered weapons has raised fears of an increase in violent drugs gangs in Northern Ireland the o6c similar to those which have plagued larger inner cities elsewhere in the UK and Ireland. A drugs gang selling thousands of pounds of deadly substances in the province had a haul of munitions including grenades, handguns and a sub-machine-gun.
A detective leading the investigation into the gang's activity in LondonDerry said the seizure showed the lethal capabilities of such organised crime groups.
Detective Inspector Tom McClure said there was a sinister similarity between the gang and those associated with cities such as Liverpool and Dublin.
There was no mention in court or by police of any link between the gang and paramilitaries.
Such as... More unemployment, more PFR activity.. Less investment..
If the place has changed that much wear a GAA shirt, cross the 'peace bridge' and have a pint in the Waterside... or the Diamond area..
Witty I am at a loss as to why to try to dress things up at times. The whole of the o6c is failed, left, right and centre...
You can use the same old tired arguments about me not living there etc...but we both know what happens on the ground.
I'm not going to deny people want to mix but in general outside of people by and large don't. Part (a big part) is because the sheeple back home keep voting in the same plebs they've been voting in for the past 40yrs..
Why can't you or anyone campaign for better train links to any part of the north west? If the state (on any part of the island) thought the could make money from it they would. They already have cross border co-operation in health service....
I've no problems with linking the whole of the road and rail lines through out the island.. Half of Europe is linked up and for an island the size of Ireland it's silly it isn't.
As for Belfast it isn't a capital of any country. It's the biggest city in an artificial state.
I think you'll find the majority of the people in Derry are being held back because they vote in the same people time and time again..
What I asked her and anyone else is to read a blog called 'The Diary of a Derry Moother'... A woman like witty who lives in the place. How is that insulting????
So my friends who grew up in the streets of Derry, 'Pound the streets daily' their experienes etc count for nothing???? Yet witty's does???
If you agree that Derry (west of the Bann to be honest) is in a social & economic decline why haven't you flagged the issue before? Or anyone...?
I'll ban people when they keep asking me the same questions and I have to give the same answers. Unfortunately for Wade & the west Brit they have't learnt from past mistakes. Before they 'whack a train' from Dublin to Derry wouldn't it be better to imrove the link between Belfast and Derry instead of going around the Antrim coast..
Stop voting in dissidents like Martin McGuiness (who when gerry it wasn't me says jump he says ho high), Ray McCartney, Mitchell... Miniskirt Martina..
Vote in new blood who will support the people instead of putting and keeping them down.
You are banned too. The thread isn't about me or my politics but about the real problems facing the North West part of the o6c.
Once the welfare reform bill passes (and it will) it will mean even less inward investment for west of the Bann and people like witty will be there to pick up the pieces to an ever increasing work load.
A small example is Translink who don't even have a direct train line between Belfast and the maiden city. Yet there is one linking Belfast to Dublin..
If you bother listening to todays podast of Talkback on Radio Ulster you'll get a flavour of what I mean.
Derry is one of the most depleted areas on the island (has been for yrs).
Good Q.... Peach and Stan got yellow carded and your mucker witty is still acting the whack... I'm still smoking herbs and drinking cold beer and Man Utd are still playing crap...
And Ireland (or at least the o6c) are going to get an blast soon that will see temps plunge until Jan...
RE: What's on your mind, Part 23 .. (4th Attempt)
I did in deed and nope I didn't report her. Personally I thought she was harmless..As for me... ordered a new tablet yesterday, told it was arriving tomorrow but got it today. So I'm up..
