How to know if your caudate nucleus been activated

Never heard of a 'Scania' before, so googled it.... So now I know its a big truck...

But what these images have to do with trucks is a bit lost on me (googled 'scania funny' under images)

How we use different areas of organ depending on whether we are head over heels or suffering a break-up

Falling in love really does change the brain researchers have found, paving the way for a 'love test' to determine how people feel about their partners.

Scientists studied the brains of people who said they were in love and those who had recently come out of a relationship to map the changes in activity in different regions of the organ.

They found for those who claimed to be in love, several areas of the brain showed activity - including those linked to reward and motivation

And the longer people had been head over heels about their partners, the greater the activity between several areas of the brain - particularly those linked to motivation and reward.
However for the singletons who claimed to have never fallen in love, activity was significantly less.

Professor Xiaochu Zhang, of the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei led the study, which has been published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.

In the conclusion he wrote: 'This study provides the first empirical evidence of love-related alterations in the underlying functional architecture of the brain.'

Prof Zhang's team found that in people who had recently ended a relationship or fallen out of love, one particular area, the caudate nucleus, was activated.......
