Before the thread dies, I want to make something clear. I was the one person who actually gave Vicki money. She got me with the phone being turned off scam.
What actually haqppened was she mailed me saying goodbye. I asked her why she was leaving. She said her phone bill cannot be paid and her service was to be cut off in a week. I asked her how much the bill was. She said no thanks, I don't want you to send money. I said please let me help. She wrote back and told me the bill was $93. I said I will send you the money. Of course she thanked me profusely. I sent her a money order for $130..I wanted her to have some extra money for a rainy day...now that's funny.
So there is the story. call me names if you want. Call me stupid, naive, ignorant..etc. I have always been generous. I have to realize there are scammers out there. I have to be more careful. I apologize to all on CS that this happened, because if there were not idiots like me, there wouldn't be any scammers. Take care.
