RE: will you get drunk tonight?

Oh jesus no, a fishing trip whit that chap would lead to a murder investigation.

RE: will you get drunk tonight?

Ah it would drive you mad, after the first 20 minutes you start hallucinating :)

RE: SKA NIGHT.....

Bit of old and new

RE: will you get drunk tonight?

Ah yeah sure why not, spent the past 3 hours staring at a float standing still...a few beers seems like the better option than praying for fish.

RE: My plumbing is leaking

Lazy if you are sure you can do the job yourself, wiser if your going to flood the place :)

RE: My plumbing is leaking

If it's dripping it's the rubber washer, no idea what they are making them these days but they don't seem to last as long as they did years ago.

The modern taps work on the same principle as the old ones you wont need to call a plumber.

RE: starting a plastering business

So lets say I rang you up for a quote after reading your advertisement, the first few things I'd ask you are.

1. what are your qualifications?

2. are you are registered?

3. are you insured?

4 have you references and where can I go to see what sort of work you do?

Answer no to any of those questions and I there is no way I'd hire you.

RE: Sleep

3 or 4 does me fine and I get that most nights, anything over that and I'm useless the next day.

It does depend on the season tho, in the winter months I'll sleep for 5-6 hours before waking.

RE: we are made in the image and likeness of God

So why do we have a coccyx?

RE: we are made in the image and likeness of God

We'll compromise....it's both, sure those hairy monkeys would need to cool down after making sweet monkey love :)

RE: we are made in the image and likeness of God

No idea at all.

Rough guess but back then we were all ugly looking monkey things so maybe we needed earlobes to nibble to make mating more enjoyable :)

RE: what day does your trash get taken?

I got rid of the rubbish bin years ago, everything is recycled, composted or fed to the fish and chickens.
Packaging waste is brought back to the retailer, by law they have to provide disposal facilities for the packaging on the products they sell.

RE: we are made in the image and likeness of God

Ah we are, ever since we came down from the trees our feet were no longer used to grasp branches so they are pretty much evolving for walking and balance only.

RE: we are made in the image and likeness of God

I'll see your argument and raise you.

Go get the dictionary and look up the word evolution, if we were created in the image of god then why are we still evolving and slowly losing our earlobes and baby toes? :)

RE: irish roads in sumner

And that's exactly why you wait for the lad in the tractor to wave you on :)

RE: Spaceship

The planets is fine, most likely your problem is with the hairless apes wrecking the place.

I have started work on an intergalactic battle cruiser, nothing personal but humans are like rats and can't be allowed to spread through the galaxy :)

RE: Is marriage at risk?

The humble albatross :)

RE: Is This possible? What can be the reasons?

Sounds a bit like either a marriage of convenience for the woman , husband for all the family duties, occasions and traditional family unit on the surface for the kids upbringing.
Or it could be a cultural/religious thing where single mothers are stigmatized and having an agreement is the better option for the woman and child?

RE: What job would suit best the poster above u?

Writer.

RE: Tayto crisps V king crisp

Tayto are nicer in a crisp sandwich, poppy seed Vienna loaf with real butter, slightly toasted....King are too salted for a sandwich.

King crisps do go better with a pint of lager, Tayto are not salted enough to compliment a good beer.

RE: Protesting outside a Politician house.

There is a big difference between dealing with the public as part of your job and representing the public as your job.

Politicians have no qualms about turning up on your doorstep looking for your vote, you turn up on their doorstep to voice your dissatisfaction and they ring the cops :)

It's ok for them to arrive on your doorstep but not the other way around?

RE: Taking yourself or life too seriously?

Sure we all have to do that at one stage or another...that's life! :)

Eric Idle says it best.

RE: Taking yourself or life too seriously?

Ah, taking life seriously is bad for your health...far too much stress involved and sure you could drop dead tomorrow.

"Do you think that sometimes we get caught up so much in life that we have forgotten how to have fun or take a joke..pc and all that stuff?"

Nah, people just get caught up in their worries either consciously or subconsciously, it holds them back from fully relaxing and enjoying the moment.

RE: When should one begin to "act their age?"

They got old and tired and had to take an nap?

RE: did you ever carry the cross, as Christ did?

Suffering is for those who can't make the best out of a bad situation.

RE: Vulnerability

The dictionary defines vulnerable as " Susceptible to physical or emotional injury" and " Liable to succumb, as to persuasion or temptation"

Not exactly qualities I'd look for or tolerate in a potential partner.

RE: What -ism is/will destroy Europe

Separatism.

Eventually the peripheral countries screwed by austerity will either leave or be forced out.

RE: My country, Croatia, enters in EU on Monday 00,00

Run a mile, the EU is nothing but a failed experiment on it's last legs.

RE: Who make better spouse's...Scottish men or Irish men???

And then the Aussies got hold of them :)
