IS there really a choice?? Not in this house! Used to have a sign in the window of my van: "This vehicle is maintained for the comfort and security of my dogs; if you do not like this, you will not like me, so GO AWAY!"
Congratulations!! I also think CS is awesome, and meant to exist for very specific purposes.
As my hubby (Kansan) mentioned earlier, we met here and believe that we were created just for one another! He, too, has "a beautiful heart" and is the "love of my life." Hell, he IS my life!!
I'm so glad that you feel CS is, indeed, the place to be for singles! I think it is our "responsbility" to let others know, don't you??
Again, congrats! And, best to you and your CS guy for the present and for the future!!
Not a parent, here, but have "mid-wifed" a significant number of Miniature Schnauzer births! (Does that count?) If not, I've "given birth to" a bouncing baby gall bladder (complete with stones), as well as a 50-pound ovarian tumor (by C-section), which the surgeon's assured me was "like carrying 8 fetuses!!" Geez!! Can you imagine?
Hey, Claayer! "Click the doodaaa....*BING*" Indeed! Girl, I LIKE the way you think!!!
Evening, Anne! What do you think about co-authoring a manual: something like "Techno-Challenged Women Across The Southeast"? We should have a great start with the 2 of us!
Have a great evening, all, and hope you have a marvelous Memorial Day weekend!!
Ken, so very, very sorry to hear you lost your old friend. It is a painful time for a pet owner. There are so many of my old pals waiting on the other side that I can't wait to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
I HEAR what you're saying: "thought...love of my life,..." Have felt similarly myself. Then I met The Kansan! With every fiber of my being, I believe that each relationship I've had over the years prepared me for meeting and loving Don! Doubt I'd have been able to fully appreciate his AWESOMENESS if I'd not gone down that particular road. (Shades of Diamond Rio's "God Blessed the Broken Road" rambling through my head here!)
In particular, I had given up on the concept of "someone for everyone," and had decided that I was happy alone when Don showed up!! I'd become satisfied with my "alone-ness!"
Okay, I DID join CS, but I honestly was looking for intelligent conversation and for friends.
Do I believe "IT" will happen for everyone: NOT at all!! Most especially not in our personal timeframe!!! (Van Sant: "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans!"!) I only had success in finding my soulmate AFTER being at peace with my own "demons." And, after coming to peace with myself.
Now, ask me the REAL question: Do I think it will happen to YOU? Oh, yes, my friend, oh, yes!!!
A big from me and The Kansan. We highly recommend this site, since we met here on Jan. 3, 2007, met face-to-face a couple of weeks later, and have been inseparable since. (Also, we were married on Aug. 15, 2007. )
We wish you the same degree of good fortune in finding your special lady!

Oh, and WELCOME TO THE GREAT STATE OF TENNESSEE!!!
Superb, lady, positively superb! (Of course it is, since YOU wrote it!!) We continue holding you in our hearts and prayers. May God's angels hold you tightly as you travel this unfamiliar path.
