RE: having some quiet time

Bless your heart!! Most of us cannot imagine what you have been going through and continue to experience. Seems that you post only the brightest/bestest news in your blogs, so I'm concerned that you aren't taking full good care of yourself--maybe? Even though you tell us here that you are taking care (?), I remain unconvinced. Please take time to be completely, totally emotionally selfish and overwhelmingly self-indulgent! Please?! For us fellow CS'ers? (And, know that you DESERVE that!)

Glad you went to the fish-fry yesterday and are planning a beach trip today. However, we hope that you watch yourself carefully in the sea; don't let it lull you into a sense of false security/comfort! (It's the Sirens, you know!)

Take good care of yourself, Dorielle. Those of us here can wait if we need to!

Hello, sweetie!! Hope you've planned something special for celebrating being 3/4ths done with therapy! Hooray!

Viewed your new pics and LOVE the chipmunk cheeks! (Saw my first chipmunk when I was about three, and thought it was the cutest thing ever! Still feel that way!) It is exceptionally brave of you to post new pics--without hair! Few would feel comfortable enough to do that!

Your beauty, charm, grace, and exceptional ability to blog your "journey" has both humbled and inspired here. Keep up the good work, Dorielle! And we'll keep up the good thoughts and prayers here!

OMG, Dorielle!! Don't know whether I should laugh or cry! Because this is funny in a "painful" sort of way; but then again, it is NOT funny as well!

Indeed: take those pain pills! (As well as anything you can to reduce inflammation!)

Now, am I going to have to come down there to make sure you don't get more banged up? (I've plenty of practice, you know, from keeping Don out of trouble!! )

Seriously, lady, please be careful and take better care of yourself than this!

RE: ginger ale taste test

Yes: Ginger Ale, and Canada Dry is the best! A big for being at one with the world, as well. Isn't it awesome???!!! Don't you think it makes the simple things like ginger ale that much better? Glad to hear that your taste buds can enjoy the magic of it (it's great for nausea, too!)

Wish you could hop a flight to Tennessee for this weekend's get-together! We will be thinking of you, for sure!

Gal, you positively AMAZE and ASTOUND me with your sense of humor and positive outlook! Most people without medical issues--myself included--cannot look at life with the attitude you continue to show! You have a cheering section here, for certain.

Personally, I always thought I'd prefer pinto beans and cornbread and/or biscuits and pork chop gravy for meals if I were ever so sick that other things did not appeal to me: a true Southern girl here!

Sending prayers for healing your way! (Am secretly anxious to read the piece you write on a rainbow waiting to happen!!)

So, "I thank you all with everything I am." All of us know that! It's part of what makes you special and worthy of our collective support! That, plus we know that no one else could face such disruption of their lives with more grace and beauty than you can, Dorielle!

By all means, listen to what your body and the Universe tells you to eat and/or do. You are so in touch with the natural that I am certain you can do it! Don't forget color therapy in your plan! (Definitely NO black clothes, etc.!)

A few weeks ago, Robin Roberts from "Good Morning, America" lost her hair to radiation & chemo. After a bit, she decided to appear on camera sans wig, and she looks fantastic!! I think her decision was both brave and selfless, and I personally believe she became even more lovely that day, letting her inner beauty shine along with her physical beauty.
