RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Education debt is another problem...with the interest rates being a problem...

I used to volunteer for a homeless shelter and people can and do sleep on frinds' and relatives' couches, bouncing around from place to place.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

What about the Native Americans? Or did you forget?roll eyes

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Well said

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

All sorts of ways--tax loopholes, outsoursing with jobs overseas, money missing from US gov't--nobody knows where it went. And the bank bailouts. The bankers go unpunished.
As for Public Assistance, we need to look at why some of them are taking longer to find jobs. There is a reason for everything; they need self-esteem and training.professor

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Hmmm, are you sure about this? The Mexicans think we stole this land from them, and they want it back.....doh

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

I don't have all the answers as to why it takes some AFDC recipients longer to find work than others, other than to say that it depends on the jobs they are looking for, and need for those workers. Same for anyone else looking for work; it may take days for some, months for others.

Is a cell phone necessary?

Better to lose him now, then to end up married to him.

Is a cell phone necessary?

That's it exactly! We can make up our own minds and think for ourselves. As for me, there are concerns about the Electromagnetic Frequency Waves (EMF)s. There is a Slow Life and Slow Food movement now, and people are changing the way that they are eating. They are demanding healthier foods in schools, locally grown foods, less Television watching. TV is bad for kids' brain waves and causes them to have a shorter attention span. Most programming is negative. And TV watches get a shorter life span. Another concern with the cell phones besides brain tumors, is infertility and DNA changes. Other than that, on the one hand, our technology is causing us to not socialize normally. This is a real concern. On the other hand, it has actually caused the world to become smaller and for us to connect more easily with those from long distances around the world. Ideas can be exchanged instantly. I just want to be safe, not compromise my health.

Is a cell phone necessary?

I also don't watch tv. I have better things to do with my time.

Is a cell phone necessary?

laugh LOL

Is a cell phone necessary?

I agree 100% with what you are saying, You are just like me. I don't use a microwave anymore! I also don't--gasp!--watch tv! However, I can't live w/o the internet...LOL. But yeah, EMFs from that, too. I could not use another dating site which was asking for "my" cell phone number!

Is a cell phone necessary?

Thank U for telling me I'm not a freak. People consider me interesting, funny and intelligent.

Is a cell phone necessary?

LOL you are so funny : )

Is a cell phone necessary?

I don't have a cell phone. Whenever a man finds this out, I never hear from him again. What is going on? Do they think I am some kind of a freak? or is making a phone call not the thing to do these days? Advice?

RE: Which social network tht u love the most?

My favorite online place is a very popular, very happening pen pals site! I've met people from all over the world and made so many friends there. It's alot of fun.

RE: which country has the most friendly people of all countrys>>>>>?????

The Gambians in west Africa are far friendlier and more hospitable than westerners. The "smiling coast" of Gambia is a popular tourist destination and 97% of tourists polled say they would like to return there.

RE: Western culture

I think it is good to have CHOICES and not to be persecuted for it...that is what makes this a FREE country cheering

RE: would you be with someone 10+ years older/younger?

this is "assuming" that her health is not as good as his??? What if she is in great shape, and he isn't?

RE: is age important to you ??

I agree. And I don't care to be with an older man. I'm too young for my age.grin

RE: Has aging given you a fair deal?

It's both genetics as well as how well you take care of yourself! They live to be 100 on my dad's side and don't look their age.

RE: Date someone, older or younger?

I don't play bingo, I listen to Hip Hop, and I prefer younger men who can keep up with me.

RE: Date someone, older or younger?

RE: Biggest lies from a guy’s mouth

I've never cheated on you; she is only a friend.
