All sorts of ways--tax loopholes, outsoursing with jobs overseas, money missing from US gov't--nobody knows where it went. And the bank bailouts. The bankers go unpunished. As for Public Assistance, we need to look at why some of them are taking longer to find jobs. There is a reason for everything; they need self-esteem and training.
I don't have all the answers as to why it takes some AFDC recipients longer to find work than others, other than to say that it depends on the jobs they are looking for, and need for those workers. Same for anyone else looking for work; it may take days for some, months for others.
That's it exactly! We can make up our own minds and think for ourselves. As for me, there are concerns about the Electromagnetic Frequency Waves (EMF)s. There is a Slow Life and Slow Food movement now, and people are changing the way that they are eating. They are demanding healthier foods in schools, locally grown foods, less Television watching. TV is bad for kids' brain waves and causes them to have a shorter attention span. Most programming is negative. And TV watches get a shorter life span. Another concern with the cell phones besides brain tumors, is infertility and DNA changes. Other than that, on the one hand, our technology is causing us to not socialize normally. This is a real concern. On the other hand, it has actually caused the world to become smaller and for us to connect more easily with those from long distances around the world. Ideas can be exchanged instantly. I just want to be safe, not compromise my health.
I agree 100% with what you are saying, You are just like me. I don't use a microwave anymore! I also don't--gasp!--watch tv! However, I can't live w/o the internet...LOL. But yeah, EMFs from that, too. I could not use another dating site which was asking for "my" cell phone number!
I don't have a cell phone. Whenever a man finds this out, I never hear from him again. What is going on? Do they think I am some kind of a freak? or is making a phone call not the thing to do these days? Advice?
My favorite online place is a very popular, very happening pen pals site! I've met people from all over the world and made so many friends there. It's alot of fun.
The Gambians in west Africa are far friendlier and more hospitable than westerners. The "smiling coast" of Gambia is a popular tourist destination and 97% of tourists polled say they would like to return there.
RE: Does welfare promote laziness?
Education debt is another problem...with the interest rates being a problem...I used to volunteer for a homeless shelter and people can and do sleep on frinds' and relatives' couches, bouncing around from place to place.
