RE: Ladies what man's names do you like or hate?

Lee, because it is a nice name, and I used to be in awe of Bruce Lee purple heart
I like alot of the African names like Karamba and Kundal--they are awesome names. Julius, Lucas, Kevin, Larry, Jerry or Steve are nice names, too, and names like Malik, Tyrone, and Mikah are cool.

RE: A successful relationship

That is soooo true! always acquiring new things and, hopefully! uh oh purging the old grin help

RE: A successful relationship

The problem in American culture is that too many people don't follow through and give up after a few emails or a phone call.....they have no attention span, no sense of commitment, expect perfection and run screaming into the night if they see one flaw shock

RE: A successful relationship

Not asking for much, just the basics, eh? dunno grin dunno

RE: Your views on organic food?

I wonder if the e coli can be scrubbed away? the produce soaked in salt water or rinsed in vinegar? I have been eating organic food for several years now. I noticed changes in my health within weeks. My brain fog went away. I felt 20 years younger. The nerve damage in my arms dissipated. The stiffness in my legs was the last to go, within 6 months. My skin has a healthy sheen and my eyes shine. Going healthy with my food has been 100% worth it, and I know first hand how conventional food is killing you slowly. Those of you who are not brave enough to go organic are sicker and are paying more for doctors' visits and prescriptions. I'm 53 and other than some allergies to dust/pollen, am perfectly healthy and not on any medications except occasional use of Flonase nasal spray for my allergies. And I don't trust conventional doctors for most conditions--I go alternative for my health first.

RE: How to Make Your Girlfriend Happy All the Time

....and hand over the keys...motorcycle

RE: Men... What do women do/say that annoys you?

Probably what annoys men is when women open their mouths..........to speaklaugh grin doh

RE: What is your age,really??

It's funny because when I go places with my 30 yo daughter, people think we're sisters, friends, co-workers, roommates.....anything BUT her mom, so I might as well get a tee shirt that says "30-ish"

RE: Woman has a right to change her mind. ( NOT )

thumbs up

RE: What is your age,really??

I am the age I put on my profile---53. No reason to lie. But when people lie about their age they are being stupid because how are they going to keep on hiding that from any potential partner? Some of these old farts who are OBVIOUSLY much, much older than their listed age, come across as redclown

RE: Men intinidated by independent women?

Men from our generation can be intimidated by the women being the breadwinner. Move on if he isn't good with it.
The younger men, however, are more open to this. More and more of the younger women these days, are the breadwinners in the relationship. African American women are far more likely to be college educated than the men, too, now.

How do I deal with The Silent Treatment?

I love your input--you are a smart lady, and diplomatic in your responses on these forums.
I have had a very poor internet connection lately, so I think it might be from my own end! I touched base with him today, from a public library in order to get better service, and everything was fine. During our time when his messages were not coming through (causing me to think he was not communicating), he stayed up way past his bedtime--and that is not typical of him. I believe him when he says he was trying to respond to me. Trying to get to know someone over the internet is a more difficult process than it is in person. That is why I like to skype, too, and I even had him write me a letter to send via post with photos of himself.

How do I deal with The Silent Treatment?

Thank you for all of your kind replies and support. Now he has left me a message, saying that he tried to reply to me but nothing would go through! He is using a smart phone and I'm using a laptop. I've never used a smartphone so I don't know if he is telling me the truth. I would like to hear from smartphone users--is he possibly telling me the truth? I've never used a smartphone, and we chat on Facebook chat. dunno

How do I deal with The Silent Treatment?

You are right---I'm going to keep my happy face and keep on going....no matter how it turns out thanks

How do I deal with The Silent Treatment?

Makes sense that he would not want to hurt me. So many times he has told me things like "I love the way you are", or, "I love the way you talk to me" and even! "I love the way you are when you're angry with me". Now that was a first! someone telling me that they liked my anger LOL! I was blown away by that one....rolling on the floor laughing He told me I was decent and seemed to respect me, so what you say about him not wanting to hurt my feelings makes sense.
