I've done some traveling around North America and been to Hawaii, met a lot of wonderful people. Lot's of places I'd like to go yet. Do you find the overall cost of living much different than Alberta? I've heard from so many B.C. stands for bring cash!
I love the long days of summer, but the winters are starting to wear thin. I've been here most of my life but can't seem to get used to the cold! I've been looking around in B.C. for the last two years. My brother just moved to the Trail area from Fresno last spring and I like it. I've been to Kamloops a couple of times. I want to go to Vancouver Island and take a look around. Have you ever been there?
Everything! I'm gutting the entire house piece by piece and rebuilding in stages. Wiring, plumbing, insulation etc. It's a pain somedays living in the mess but it'll be worth it when I'm done.
It's varying from metal to country to classical. Something just went wrong with my disc drive so I'm stuck with internet stations. My stereo is packed away while I'm doing reno's.
I'm originally from Toronto. I worked in Grande Prarie for 5 months last year. I've lived in Calgary, Cadomin, Legal(farm), a few acerages around Edmonton, in Edmonton and now Lamont. I spent 5 months in McLennan this year.
There is one thing that may not be clear here. In the U.S., judges are elected just like politicians. They may 'put on a show of force' before an election. In Canada judges are appointed. I hate to assume but Australia being a Commonwealth country is probably the same as Canada. I do think the sentences for young offenders here in Canada are far too light. There has been a public outcry recently because of all the murders committed by kids under the age of 18. They are literally getting away with it. The sentences don't mean anything because they know they'll only serve 5 years maximum and in a youth facility.
The weather was beautiful here today! Sunshine and a warm breeze. I spent some time outside and loved it. Sorry to hear about all the bad weather you're getting in Oklahoma. I hope it gets nice soon!
