Traveling alone won't stop me. I tried traveling with friends but they always backed out on me at the last minute so I thought the heck with it and went. I had a blast. Been to many places on my own including Hawaii, Thailand, and Africa. Didn't meet anyone for a relationship, but had a good time none the less.
That is the same with me; the guys on the profile are usually far away from me but one never knows. I am not going to dismiss someone far away from me and if we hit it off then there will be a way to make it work. I have had some 6 ratings and some 10. I really don't care what they think of me as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't know what else to suggest to you. You seem very negative and that will project from you when you meet someone. Is this how you really want to go through life? As for the cruise; I figure it doesn't hurt to try. I don't know why you think its easier for a woman to meet a guy as I personally haven't found that. As I said life is too short not to enjoy it. I am not going to stop living my life because I haven't met someone.
Why not go on a cruise as a single man? I am going as a single female and I'm old. You got strutting around without your shirt, you will catch some gal's eye. I guarantee that. They have singles cruises. I guess I will go on the seniors cruise.
Yeah, we can cry on each other's shoulders. Just don't let it get you down. Life is too short and precious to be depressed. I find a good vacation really picks up my spirits especially by the ocean. I am even thinking of going on a cruise next year. Could meet some interesting people.
Thanks I am flattered and that really means alot to me that you would even consider going out with me. Too bad this wasn't the world of Star Trek and we could beam out to meet someone. Its nice to know there are good caring people out there. It helps me keep my spirits up.
I am thinking you, me, and Michael should start a lonely hearts club. As I told Michael, we have to keep the dream alive. I have no single friends to hang with; like you they are all married. I have done volunteer work to fill the void and it keeps me from feeling lonely. I know its not the same as having someone in my arms but if I didn't I would sit at home and mope or worse yet reply on these forums. LOL I dearly hope the three of us can all find that certain someone.
Trust me that thought has crossed my mind. I dearly miss the ocean and East coasters are just fun people to be around. Had the wonderful experience of sailing there with the Navy. So, do you have anyone in mind for me? I am a bit of handful but in a good way.
Actually it was a few individuals. When I was on POF, most of the men made me feel worthless or they would lead me to beleive they were interested and then stop communicating. Mind you the games the ladies were playing were the same there. I found it was a site for the younger people anyways, so no loss leaving there. I had several guys ask what was wrong with me as I had never been married. Guess it never occurred to them that when you are at sea for 10 out of 12 months; its hard to find a relationship. Now, its just an age factor. Being older its hard to meet anyone and that is just a fact of life. I found most of the forums of POF were rather cruel to others so never got involved with them personally. Ah, why does life have to be so complicated? Why can't we all just get along.
Footnote: I was told by guys on POF that I was fat and ugly. You can well imagine how that made me feel. So, don't take anything personally from that loser site.
Yes, I am in the same boat as you. Because of the economy, my house not only wouldn't sell for a good price, but may not sell at all as so many are up so sale right now. I would love to move out of Calgary and go to BC so I can get away from this damn snow and meet some liberal minded men.
I think that is very kind of you to do those acts of kindness. I don't beleive in random acts of Christmas but random acts all year long. I don't need a holiday to do something nice; I do it just because I want to.
I dated a guy about a week ago. He was very condesending, chauvanistic, obsessed with money, and didn't trust women. Yeah that was a wonderful evening....not. Oh well, just gotta keep looking.
How awful. I am sorry to hear that. Makes you wonder what kind of parents they have if the kids are running around with guns.
I like snow too as long as its on the mountains far away from me. Its very back breaking work shoveling and I can't find a snow blower in this city. They sell out the same day they come in. Can you send me one? LOL Right now this whole city is rather cranky. Between the constant snow, extreme cold temps, and gridlock traffic, we are not happy campers. I am trying to keep positive by counting down the days until Spring. Just wish I had someone to snuggle up to during the winter months but at least I have a fireplace and a bottle of win.
I am sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel better I was out shoveling snow for three hours in -25 weather. I can get where you are coming from. I have been Calgary for 12 years and have only had 4 dates; three were absolute creeps. I haven't had much luck in meeting anyone on connecting singles either but we both have to keep trying. I stated on another site if you give up your dreams you die. So, keep the dream alive dear.
